So a quick question, does the app actually automatically set videos to the video quality you have set in the settings?

I'm asking because I'm trying to keep data usage low but the browser version of Crunchyroll tries to keep me streaming at 1080p when I set my video quality to SD, so I wan't to make sure my video quality is actually low in the app.

The apps aren't affected by the website quality setting.

When viewing in the web browser, the settings should apply, but sometimes what is shown and what the system believes it is gets out of sync. One way to fix this is to set the video to something other than what it keeps defaulting to or what you want it to be, then change it back to what you want.

In other words, if you want to set it to SD but it currently defaults to 1080p, try changing it to 480p or 720p first, and verify that takes. Once that works, it should then accept a change to SD.

Thanks for the tip!

Does the same or similar problem happen with the IOS app though? I set the video quality to low for the app too and I just wan't to make sure the setting actually works there because I can't really tell the difference tbh.

Edit: Also your fix worked, thank you!
