i think my dad said it best about women who wear makeup
Dad, "Ever since i was a boy, iv always thought women who wear makeup look like clowns."
Me (RyaN), "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, omg dad that's soooo true."
My sister wearing makeup about to go on a date, "Ryan STFU" then i ran away when my sister tried to beat me with the broom

Well of course you will see it that way, you're a female. Just like I'm more prone to see the bad parts of being a male. Anyway guys think saggy nuts are even more gross than sagging boobs. We just don't talk about those things in front of females.

mm haha :E I admit I resort to the use of 'chick weaponry' on special occasions... although I'm not a big fan of both.

IMO make-up can alter the way people look, and consequently give a considerable boost in confidence. But then, it's a temporary fix... I would have qualms about "when is the makeup gonna slide off? what about sweat and humidity?" when I have makeup on me, hence cancelling off the confidence boost effect I have when the make-up was just freshly set. It's up to guys/female lovers to decide what kind of visual features they deem attractive, regardless whether it's made-up or not... just remember that if it's make-up then it's gonna slide off at the end of the day :)

As for myself, make-up is a major skin clogger that serves seemingly minor purpose (at 23 I still look like 17), so I just do away with them. Usually it's just broad spectrum sunblock, lip balm and hand cream. I do love taking care of myself, though, hair masks and good creams on board... so I'm still a vanity-lover after all ^__^ Nothing defeats good skincare regime at the end!

Something else to note: Typically men and women have different images about what's attractive in women.

Edit to above: Typically women pimp up their faces, bodies and clothes in a way is usually complimented by men. They might do it wrong, but that doesn't change the initial inspiration.

Don't worry, I'm not talking about a little bit of eyeliner, eyeshadow, lip stick etc. I use those to, they're nice toys to complete your outfit. I meant girls who draw another face on top of the other. Or girl's whose breast sizes are B without bra and C with bra. What I'd call exaggerating or lying. I imagine it must be a little turn-off for the person who's going to to see them without make-up or push-up eventually?

exactly if men didnt make such a big deal about things on women I'm 100% sure we wouldnt try fixing things that don't really need to be fixed....

i only wear makeup sometimes but i seem to look the same....so why bother?
my sis doesn't go out without make-up on...i think its because she isn't very confident

i find it very funny when people put to much foundation on and their face turns orange

To me, putting on make-up, or my best bra goes with wearing my nicest clothes...they are for special occasions, when it is important to look my best...ie: the company Christmas party (formal affair), or a night at the symphony. Even when I do, though, my husband doesn't even notice the difference...because he loves the woman I am, no matter how I look (which is really good after 13 years, and six children).

She's right. Most women agree that the worst part about being a woman is being judged so heavily on appearance. But people exaggerate things. Men don't judge women as hard on appearance as people make them believe. We just judge their appearance. There’s a slight difference.

I would have to agree here...most of the men I know are so happy to see a little action, they really don't care if she looks like a troll. BUT...we can't let other women see us at less than our best...meow!

Agreed.

Homies ask me why I take so long to get ready by saying something along the lines of, "You already have a boyfriend, you don't need to impress any dudes."

I answer by saying it's mostly a silent "competition" factor among women (for lack of a better word).

A lot of women gossip.

"Ew, look what she's wearing."

or

"That shirt does not look good with those jeans."

I'm not going to lie. I've said things like that before, but that's back in the day before I realized how unfair and immature I was acting :T

But yes, women, for the most part, are very judgmental about other women.
