Hi,
I'm looking for a recommendation for an MMO for someone who's really not a game player. I'm looking for more social interaction as well as a bit of gaming.

RuneScape, especially RS3/Newer one. Whole game is pretty much about AFKing. You can join clans etc for social interaction.
I quit the game mostly because all there was left for me to do was AFK 24/7. Plus it's F2P, though with membership you have much more to do. Still a decent playerbase, about 50-70k players/day and it's been like that for a few years now. That's split between RS3 and Oldschool RS.

The only other MMO I've tried was Final Fantasy 14, but that was more actiony. But very "high quality MMO" I'd say. You can play for free upto level 35 so there's that. Otherwise Pay-to-Play with expansions.

I would recommend Final Fantasy A Realm Reborn, if you have a gaming PC or a PS4, you can play it. Its good too if your a Final Fantasy fan or not. Or if you just like RPGs in general and anime. You can interact with people and you can do a bunch of fun quests. And raids are pretty cool too. It's kinda like World of Warcraft but better. And its crossplatform support too so if your on PC or if your on PS4 you can talk to people who are on PS4 or PC. And if you have a Square-Enix account. You can log into the game and make a character on a PS4. And if you wanna get off the PS4 and play on the PC you can with your account and your character and stuff will still be there. I would try the trial first though if your curious. The classes/jobs are pretty cool. I played a black mage for awhile and it was really fun. Hope you'll enjoy it. Its fun and the community is nice.

Final Fantasy XIV is definitely "top tier" imho when it comes to MMO games. Beautiful, many players, interesting storyline. Very easy to make friends on there. It has a monthly fee though.

Tera Online is another option. I see people socializing on there all the time. It's free-to-play and the combat style is fun, kind of like Devil May Cry/Bayonetta action style.

I would also suggest Final Fantasy XIV. It's a wonderful experience. I've played World Of Warcraft, Star Wars The Old Republic, DC Universe Online, and Final Fantasy is an expertly crafted MMO.
