Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe announced on Monday that the One Piece: World Seeker game will ship for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in the Americas and Europe in 2018. The publisher also released key art and screenshots for the game.

About the game:
Set sail in an all-new ONE PIECE adventure in ONE PIECE: World Seeker! Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are back in a new story that puts players' into Luffy's point of view, as he battles and explores an expansive and seamless world. Open landscapes provide many paths for players to experience Luffy's gum-gum abilities and swing into action.

So an One Piece open world game is coming next year.

Tbh, I'm excited. I have One Piece Burning Blood but that's pretty much a fighting game and isn't open world. For One Piece, this type of game seems to fit perfectly since their world is filled with treasures and exploration to do.

I'm not sure exactly what characters are available yet though so we'll have to see.

I'd say I'm confused it look them this long to do a game that actually uses the premise of One Piece instead of a musou or arena fighter, but tbh Namco likes to recycle their anime tie-ins so they're all homogenized.

Looks neat though, even though I don't particularly care for One Piece I might rent it or something.
