This is a new program that is available for selected areas. You can enroll in the bait package program in your area (if available) like the bait car program. Amazon will offer the option to use locker now (various local businesses) to pick up your package at the last time I ordered.

Amazon Key might not be a good idea though.

seems like a horrible fucking idea lmao

I mean.. have any of you weebs ever dealt with the type of unsavory person who would do something like poach packages? Would you really want to lock them in your house?

Bro set this up in your house though, I'd watch the mayhem.

Have watched several YouTube records of the porch pirates lately. All it does is reinforce why I have to add Signature Required at my expense on any package I send out USPS, FedEx, UPS via ebay sales.

Wish paint can explosions in packaging was a legal means to further humiliate these thieving bastards.....

the awkward ideas people come up with these days. to me that sounds like a bad idea, unless you have full power and control as you "bait" people, such as cameras and such, then this won't end well, the links alone provide this truth. in my opinion, in some cases you can alert the UPS and other carriers that you'd rather pick up your package at the office/location in your area vs them delivering it to you. I have it set up like that in my little world, I called them and told them (all of them) just place a reminder in my mailbox of whatever said delivering and then I'll happen by and pick it up. they were actually happy regarding this method, helps them I suppose and it helps to curve stolen packages.

however, be careful being a bait person for anything it's a variant of the police Vice program, dangers can come, as well as future threats because people are psychos these days, they can return and do bad things. but, for those who enjoy being snitches or get off on getting others into trouble then this program is for them?

I like the idea of poop bomb-- i have plenty of chicken manure in the backyard

-- cover the controlled area (front door area) with a plastic wrap of sort and set the box to explode the moment someone picked it up the wrong way.

I hope they do what the RCMP do up here with the bait car program:

Upload the resulting videos to Youtube for the rest of us to laugh at.

I was expecting a package from Amazon today, and since it's annoying to keep running up and down stairs and then around half the building (since I never know if they'll drop off at front or side), my strategy was to just keep checking the track order page.

I was surprised to not get just an "Out for delivery" or "Delivered" message. Instead I got a message saying the delivery person had 3 deliveries to make before mine, and a map showing just where the jolly courier sleigh was (it really was a picture of a sleigh), a few blocks away.

Why would anyone sign up for key. Top-kek. What is even the purpose of locking your door? I fucking love you Amazon, but this is just retarded. Warn people to confirm their package or send important items to a PO.

Oh well. To each their own. Not in my house tho
