We hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. Unfortunately we have some shows that will be leaving our service soon.

Girl's High, Destroy All Monsters, and Godzilla vs. Megalon will be available on Crunchyroll until January 9th at 12AM PST.

Eriko and her friends finally make it to an exclusive high school and they're ready to make the most of it!

* * * * *

The monsters are in revolt... and the world is at the bring of destruction!

See Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, King Ghidorah, Anguirus, Minilla, Kumonga Baragon, Gorosaurus, Manda, and Varan clash in all their titanic glory!

* * * * *

For a while, things have been peaceful on Earth. When the undersea kingdom of Seatopia is threatened by Japan's atomic testing, the Seatopians fear for the survival of their civilization; they send their secret weapon, Megalon, to destroy Tokyo and eliminate the human race. Earth gets one last chance when the sleeping Godzilla is rudely awakened. It becomes a titanic tag-team of apocalyptic dimensions as Godzilla and robot superhero Jet Jaguar fight Megalon and Gigan in an all-out rubber suit rumble to determine Earth’s fate.

A thought, since this is a Japanese media site, why not get a bulk deal from toho for all of the movies? I think it would be cool to put up as much kaiju as possible, or at the very least Shin Godzilla, as it was directed by an anime director.

Everyone should watch destroy all monsters before it expires. Seriously, if you don't have time just skip to the final battle, should be the last 20-30 minutes. You can thank me later.

I watched Joshikousei/Girl's High (single possessive, thanks Japan) a few months ago... took some screenshots to show the guys in the MAL CGDCT group how hilariously far from typical moe CGDCT it is (it's in the group relations). More or less NSFW: https://imgur.com/oqsbkX0

Since the reviews will be deleted as well, here's the top one and the reason I watched the show. Emphasis added.

Not your typical high school girl animé
By valar84 on May 12, 2013

Let's be honest, there are a LOT of animés centered around high school girls, romance, yuri, slice-of-life, etc... The common trait of most of those series is that they are written by men and have a certain idealized version of teenaged girls. In most series, sex is never mentioned, at best some romance is introduced, but it stays pure and chaste puppy love most of the time. Even when women are writing the series, girls-only schools are portrayed as very proper places where, without the presence of boys, girls are even more girly and polite than they are normally.

This series... is NOT like that. AT ALL.

I like to say, if Maria-sama Ga Miteru is the series illustrating the ideal of girls-only schools in Japan, Girl's High is the not-so-glamorous reality. The author of the manga at the basis of the show is a woman who has gone to such a school, who draws heavy inspiration from her own experience in such an environment. The protagonists are raunchy, a bit crazy, not very proper at all. One of them has a deep puppy love with another shy boy, but far from idolizing her, her friends find her annoying when she talks about her boyfriend and she turns into their punching bag. Another has boyfriendS, with a capital S, always going from one to the other and clearly not being a virgin. The group of mostly-single friends alternate between wanting a boyfriend and rebelling against the social pressure to find love.

You know how in most slice-of-life series with girl characters there is a big elephant in the room? AKA, "periods"? Not here.

So what you have here is a slice-of-life comedy series about high school girls that is also a glimpse into a more realistic vision of school girls. It is fun both as light entertainment and as insight into how school girls really are in Japan when they are amongst friends. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of concessions to marketing realities and the animé includes a lot of fan-service that is not in the manga. The animé industry loves to take unique manga titles and design them by committee, adding typical and cliché elements to them. Still, the show is well worth it and should maintain your interest during its entire run.

However, if you want to hold on to your ideals about high school girls in Japan, keep away.

Godzilla VS. Megalon is ... not a good movie, but it is so enjoyably bad that it is awesome. Highly recommended, especially if you need a good excuse to drink alcohol for New Year's. Also: After it leaves Crunchyroll, see if you can find the Mystery Science Theater version.

I had a feeling this website would start taking down shows and movies at some point, not that it hasn't happened before.

How the old Godzilla stuff isn't licenced here I have no idea, must have had them shown on terrestrial a few times, I doubt I've missed any. I love the models & sets on them for the guys in big rubber suits to destroy. Haa... could have relived some of my childhood, no matter.
