So? Just because you don't respect him, doesn't mean that others can't. Like what? xD

Let's not forget that where you draw the line, where I draw the line, and where some random hobo down the street draws the line doesn't all have to intersect. Yah?

Oh.. I guess you must not have read the words nor the irony of my post.

Honestly it's not a question censorship it's a question of a fucktard doing something stupid and getting slapped down for it

And I agree with negative actions resulting in negative consequences. I do not agree with censorship to the exclusion of extreme outlying content. These are not mutually exclusive thoughts, and I am free to have them. Just because someone posts something you do not like, does not mean they deserve to be taken down for it.

Someone is suggesting that someone who shows the bodies of suicide victims to his audience of children should be censored? Oh, perish the thought.

Not that it matters, since not paying for a service that does shit you don't like is not "censorship", it's just the actions of a reasonable consumer.

Exactly what I am saying! Censor yourself from his content if you don't like him. In other words, you don't agree with the person I disagreed with! Why did you even bother replying?

Not even going to lie. I am honestly surprised and pleased to see this text under your handle. I even removed the initial sarcasm from my reply to you.

P.S. I am ascertaining a certain vibe from a few of these comments that imply that they think I am defending him as a supporter of his channel? I have never even heard of this guy until a couple of days ago. Please! I have much better ways to waste my time.

Incredibly disrespectful and should be banned from Japan.
I just heard about this the other day and had never heard of this guy before then.

just to be clear, as you seem to have misunderstood my post:
1. nowhere in my post did i say people can't defend him.
2. i never said i don't respect him. i only said he doesn't deserve respect for his actions.

1. Nowhere in my post did I say that you said people can't defend him.
2. Noted, but does not serve as a post of contention for either my initial post nor my follow-up replies, so confused as to why this is a point of note for you.

The gist of what you wrote was "I don't like what he did. I also don't like that people are defending him.".

The gist of my response back to you was "So what?".

Furthermore, please note that this isn't an attack on your personal opinion of Logan Paul, but rather a direct response within the context of you directly replying towards my mockery and contempt of another user who espoused that he wouldn't renew his YTR subscription unless YouTube actively censored the person in question and wished for others to do the same.

Well, from the start the person sounded like a d*ck. We all hate him. Technically, I don't care about seeing a dead body, but I welcome death and choose death if it comes to that so... I'd come back to haunt as a ghost Getting back on topic... These people don't have a dysfunctional family, they just go through crap because of all sorts of different things. I once had someone stalk me before getting the perma-boot on a Facebook group and got a major laugh. Others aren't me, they aren't crazy So, get a life people, we already have 5 pages of this.

This controversy has nothing to do with censoring people we disagree with. Logan Paul blatantly showed inappropriate content in his video. YouTube even responded to Philip DeFranco (another popular YouTuber) with a generic response about how graphic content without age restrictions or educational purposes (neither of which apply to this video) are against the rules but stopped short of mentioning anything about Logan Paul despite the obvious violation. As I mentioned 2 pages ago, YouTube themselves allowed the video to remain trending. The only reason they turned a blind eye in this case was because this douche makes them a lot of money both with his own channel and with the several YouTube Red series he's starring in. If you or I wanted to do what he did and upload a video of a poorly censored suicide victim's corpse, there's no doubt that YouTube would nuke that video within minutes.

If he simply went to the Suicde Forest to make fun of a dead guy but didn't film the body itself, sure it's still a dick move and he shouldn't be doing that, but he wouldn't have gotten much attention outside of his loyal fanbase who make all kinds of excuses for him. Instead, he completely exploited the body which was even more disrespectful and was allowed to get away with it on a website that strictly forbids such actions.

Youtube is surprisingly lax when it comes to non-copyrighted content. objectionable content can simply be put behind an age-restricted wall. if they did this, instead of giving the a-ok totally fine to leave it as is, no age restriction needed response, the backlash would probably not be as bad.

not that it matters now - Logan himself took the video down from public pressure.

You know the more i hear about this and you tube/ google's complicitiousness. The more i think (as a paid youtube red subscribor) that a boycott might be in order. I'm going to cancell my family youtube red subscription untill google permabands this douche. I reccomend everyone else boycotts youtube untill they issue a perma ban and a verry public appoligy.

Lend your ear to merriam-webster for a moment if you will.

Definition of censorship

1a : the institution, system, or practice of censoring They oppose government censorship.

As others have tried to explain to you not paying for a service who's conduct you find unacceptable and encouraging others to do the same is not cencorship. It is being a responsible consumer. Had YOU read and comprehended my original comment, you would have noted my disaproval was with Google's conduct in this and simular cases. Anyone seen some of those creepy vids targeted at small kids as well?

Talk about tasteless where that came from. This is not exactly something to be laughed at, but just leave it to this guy and he's taking quite a lot of heat for doing this. Pretty much, there are all sorts of crazy things going on at Youtube, but at least most of them are in good taste unlike this.

it's a sick thing he did but at the same time the websites that have reported on this - and television news programs - are riding off this unfortunate incident as well. if this guy didn't draw in potential readers/viewers, then it would not be reported on. i think it's cool to talk about it on a forum just to discuss. but the websites that post whole articles decrying his actions (kotaku) and try to act high and mighty annoy me. they are just giving him - and in a different respect themselves - more publicity. so yeah, congrats on spreading this guy's fame news sites. i didn't even know who he was before this news broke and now I've already googled him and his brother.
