In my case, it's Log Horizon and Sword Art Online. The latter is a simplistic male, one-man army power fantasy complete with damsels-in-distress to rescue. The former takes out all of the simplicity of SAO's action and romance, and instead focuses more on MMORPG mechanics and culture like we might as well be watching a game of World of Warcraft or Everquest.

Same deal for Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, the former being built around a solo hero, the latter being built around a team of them.

Which anime series did you feel contrast one another, and why?

Interviews with Monster Girls and Monster Musume.

When you get down to brass tacks, both shows are about the same thing; a normal guy's life made interesting by a group of monster girls in mostly comedic fashion. But, each show sets the dials for "interesting" on very different numbers. The former is a benign, supernatural slice-of-lifer with some light fanservice here and there. The latter is an ecchi harem gag show with all stops pulled out and all throttles wide open.
