What are some online newspapers that you frequently read? If I asked you what about those newspapers you found so interesting, what kind of answer would you give me? When I search on Google for articles that report on a certain event, there are a few news agencies that will appear. Those are usually well-known names. However, I feel like I am missing out on something by being unaware of other news agencies. I would like to be able to explore as many available options as possible, but it is difficult to figure out where to start. The internet offers a lot of information. The unfortunate thing is that we need to know how to properly utilise that information to our advantage.

So perhaps the better thing to ask is: which online newspapers/newsletters and news agencies that you are knowledgeable on do you think are underrated and definitely worth checking out? You could also imagine yourself with the job of convincing me to subscribe to a certain newspaper. To accomplish that, you would have to point out the many different reasons that make your newspaper worth reading.

other than my rare locals I visit, I'm only interested in the weather to be honest, the rest I don't pay attention to. but I like to read Drudge Report and I use duck duck go to search so it opens up more central links instead of just one side, because google has been known to hide some news stories related to certain parties, don't know if they still do, but they have done so in the past. otherwise, I don't really read/follow anything else. too much news, I've learned, makes me feel ill, angry and sick, so I just stick with once a day readings of all the stupid and/or chaotic things in the world. besides, my local antenna went to alerts, so if something dangerous was happening in my area, including my cell phone to give me alerts, I'm fine with not knowing everything and seeing everything.

They aren't really online "newspapers", but I get most of my news from Fark (an aggregator site of various news outlets) and Cracked (comedy website that occasionally has some really thoughtful posts).

As far as convincing you to read them, I have no idea what your interests are so that's an unfair expectation. I would advise you go check them out, look around a bit, and if they meet your wants/needs great, if not then that's 2 sites down, 2 billion to go.
