as an avid backpacker/camper, love this show already

it was fun to see her set up all her gear. pretty on point.

I live my life through the eyes of all the survival/camping/backpacking/van-lifing YouTubers, so I couldn't help but giggle like an idiot as she was setting up.

Ep 1

With so many cute shows this season I was pleasantly surprised by how different this one feels! I loved everything about it. Wonderful atmosphere and backgrounds with great sound effects. The girls are definitely the best part, and we've only been introduced to two of them at the moment. My goodness is Rin the snuggliest character I've seen in a while. She's dressed appropriately comfy for camping in cold weather and I love it. The episode flew by but was relaxing at the same time. Watching her set up camp was mesmerizing and educational (I would never have imagined that pinecones are flammable!).

Nadeshiko is a ton of fun too. Between the random sleeping places and ill-timed forgetfulness, she has won me over just like Rin has. I sincerely hope that the rest of the show is as awesome as this first episode. I've always been a fan of CGDCT but I've got a feeling that this one might be a cut above.

Rin is so fluffy!

Episode 2

Nadeshiko joins the outdoor activity club, whose club room is a small, narrow space that used to be a storeroom. Only Aki and Chiami are members and they need another member to get a normal-sized clubroom. So they begin by pitching a cheap tent, and the pole snaps, with Saitou providing some help to fix it. And then Rin goes on another camping trip alone where she sees all sorts of things from a house that looks like a face, to a place with a ton of firewood, and a couple of cute dogs, while letting Saitou know what's happening. While the club wants RIn to join, she's a solo camper, but not for long with Nadeshiko coming out. Pretty cute seeing these girls act so differently.

Omg, Nadeshiko is so cute. I love the ending segment with her and the club members.

This honestly feels like an educational slice of life with the info dump about setting up camp. Quite realistic tbh especially with the atmospheric setting. Another good episode!

Window & Dog : 1, Girls : 0

Another nice episode. I do like watching them set up tents - it's strangely fun to watch the pieces come together. And all the little details about camping, despite not being into said stuff.

Also how long Rin's hair to produce that Bear

Looking forward to seeing the girls congregate soon.

It was completely stupid when she ran into that window and I laughed my butt off.

I could never go camping in winter. I bleed heat. Especially if there's even the slightest breeze. I'd either need one of those kotatsu tents or spend all day hiking to keep from freezing to death.

They got me there. I was in the middle of thinking what poor art direction that was because she's obviously supposed to be heading for the door but it looks like she'll... *bonk*

It's moments like this that are really making the anime for me. I'm a sucker for physical humour. Plus her little smirk was the perfect setup for the impact.

I love that we have an introvert who's not just reading books in a corner, but out having fun on her own.

Her relationship with her less adventurous friend is a nice touch. Also, best reading of garbled text ever.

You know, if she's going to go out camping in the winter in various places, she could invest in a portable fire pit so she wouldn't have to put her fire on a pedestal because it's already in a font.
