This has been a favorite manga of mine for awhile, but I don't really have many people to talk to about it due to the spoilery nature of the plot itself, so..

Have you been keeping up with updates?

Any theories you have that you still hold onto or were disproven?

General thoughts on where the manga is headed?

Do you want an anime adaptation?

I'm curious.

There was a somewhat active thread here for a while (/forumtopic-961419/the-promised-neverland), but it hasn't been posted to in months so I've gone ahead and closed that one, and maybe some folks will share some new thoughts here.

I do read the manga and generally look forward to each chapter, but it's not my favorite. I'm just in the wait and see camp about what will happen. As is often the case with a lot of manga it's hard to tell if there's a resolution coming up soon or if it will go on and on and on with new complications to keep the story going as long as readers are willing to read.

I think this would make a good anime, but I'm not especially wanting one. I'm more of a read or watch but not both consumer.

I really loved reading this series online back when it was new but I stopped once I got busy during a bit of a lowpoint in the story. I'm going to wait on buying the viz volumes though. It'll allow me to save up some money and hopefully I can buy them all and be caught up in one fell swoop (probly gonna be a year or two for that but whatever) and who knows, maybe by then they'll start releasing 3-in-1s like they did for dragonball, one piece, naruto and bleach.

I'm kinda pissed at viz for taking such a long ass time to localize this though. From the popularity of simuldub anime, to the extremely high popularity rankings the series had in wsj, to the fact that so many of the people over here who had read it were praising it, heralding it as "the next death note" the writing was on the wall for this series to be worth giving the attention of a quick localization. Instead, viz did their best Studio Wit impression and sat on their cash cow for over a year, letting the hype fizzle away. Hopefully enough people still care enough to spread the word about it so others can now how great it is.

They aren't taking a long time to localize it so much as taking a long time to publish in volume form. They are up to date in Viz's (digital only) Weekly Shonen Jump--which is where I read it. Is that available in Canada?

It is, neither I or any of my friends read it though so I wasn't aware. Hopefully enough people are for the word to have already spread though.
