Well I will admit I was wrong, that was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. I'm glad everyone teased her about her stupid outfit. I liked all the new characters, that kid getting kissed and not being phased but trying for the Goku/Raditz hug was great. I even liked the cat, guess I'll stick around.

The kid was great. It's nice that the mooks actually had someone with sense calling the shots. Made for a nice twist.

The kid-commander certainly had guts and presence of mind to not only counter getting choked but to bluff hammer-chan so that he could get away. He needs some sort of ambush or fallback for the retreat tactics to be effective, but then that's just room to grow (assuming he doesn't just fall into the background to get teased by hammer-chan). That exchange was easily the highlight of episode 2.

In a small bit of coincidence, her weapon, a Lucerne hammer, is known for being used as a man catcher.

Oh wow, Greed got buff. Sucks about his eye; at least he doesn't need it, you know, considering his lack of pupils.

We also get Kid Soldier, going for the technique I like to call the "Hero Kebab."

And I'm guessing that guy at the end is the guy Siluca was supposed to contract with. We'll have to wait and see if he's friend or foe (or foe-turned-friend).

Hmm.. this one is surprising me as well. It's still extremely generic and feels like it's ripped straight from a mobile game but at the same time it actually feels like it's having fun with the concept. This isn't a Chain Chronicle where you get the completely generic ripped off feel while the show is trying to self importantly pass itself off as something deep, amazing and groundbreaking. I wouldn't say I'm completely on board yet but I am enjoying it more than I thought I would.

I was a fan of Alderamin on the Sky and Marksman and Vanadis and this show seems very similar to those and that's not bad. I'm sure there will be an open ending to it but so far the rise to power premise has got me interested in it and the characters are pretty likable so far.
I did find it funny in the first episode the girl was insulted by wearing a revealing outfit but in the second episode she continues to wear it for Theo. Priorities i guess.

What mage uses swords, and who randomly kisses enemy soldiers on the battlefield?
I thought it wasn't a bad way to die really, though Aishela needed more action scenes. It had me curious about the tattoos they use, and the Hard Body Haki that the one-eyed fella used.

It does feel like Theo doesn't have much presence/will at all, and is moving up ranks way too easily.

Damn. already loving this. Just a "classic" fun fantasy fighting story.

First we get puss in boots

And then we get uber waifu (grown up rory Mercury)

I think I'm in love.

Ep 2

A significantly better episode than the first, in my opinion, even if it still feels a bit generic. But hey, when you're dealing with fantasy like this there's no need to reinvent the wheel every time. Theo's squad knows how to play dirty and I love it. Theo himself was kinda just there, but I suppose he did defeat a mage in single combat when the mage... didn't use magic. Hey, a win is a win.

Aishela, man. Wow. I like her a lot. Playful personality and skilled with weapons not to mention super attractive? I'm sold. It was neat to see how intelligent and prepared Siluca is. I agree with Aishela that it's strange she decided to back a dork like Theo, but I guess his ideals are good even if everything else about him is lame so far. I do want to see a little more from him going forward.

Episode 3

And Theo's mission to unite the land against chaos continues as now he's given the family name of Cornaro, in honor of the family from his hometown that stood up to oppression and corruption by the Rossini family. They fight a dragon, and take down another army, all while the Zelda-like music plays in the background. The action is good, but the story so far has been pretty underwhelming. Hopefully, this is just setting the stage, but something tells me things aren't going to play out well.

Episode 3

This episode we are introduced to Priscilla who wants Theo to join her cause. We also find out that Theo is not the one making a name but Siluca who is the one calling all the shots using Theo as an image. This episode we get some action. The first part has to do when a salamdar attacks a town and Theo and Siluca both help out. Siluca is the one that ends up defeating the beast but it was cool seeing use her magic. The second part is when Theo goes to war with another lord and he gets allies from the town people they saved. The action is short but it was bloody and entertaining. At the end Siluca goes to speak with the princess in joining the alliance but she seems to have something planned?

It seems this episode gave hints at a battle that was skipped. It may have been important as Theo has now become the lord of some many lands. Also it seems Siluca planning is not going the way she expected as Theo's name is not getting any recognition. Siluca must have something planned if she has that smug look after speaking with the princess but what could it be?
