So I went ahead went through the first volume again and it looks the first episode covered the first chapter only. As of now there are only 8 volumes out in Japan. I'm not entirely sure how far the anime will adapt and how long it'll be. I don't know if its been confirmed but let's just assume it'll be 12 or 13 episodes give or take.

I'm so excited. I love shoujo-ai manga/anime and I've really been looking forward to this. I'm so happy CR managed to get the streaming rights.

Was the teacher supposed to be in the female bathrooms when he met Yuzu?

I might be mistaken but I thought that was in the corridor. They have sinks like that in Japanese schools. I think it just looked kinda fancy because it is supposed to be an elite girls school.

I expect they'll adapt the first four volumes, which would be pretty normal for a single-cour show. The end of the fourth volume is a pretty good place to end the season imo.

okay for those who are new to this story, it is NOT your everyday yuri "whooo two hot girls makin out whooo"! this is a story about change, about going against the grain! a love story about a broken girl being repaired! you're gonna meet characters you will want to hug and you will meet character you want to punch! we are starting very strong in the first episode with yuzu being a bright and shining star at the school (it isn't even subtle with it as Yuzu stuff is colorful while Mei's is blah but its all good) love the first episode looking forward to the rest! (also SCVP character threw me off as her eyebrows weren't thick! lol) now if you don't mind me I'm gonna watch Pop Team Epic now!

Yuri never has captured my interest, and it seems like this is extra focused on that. The porn-jazz while blondie was bathing was almost funny, though.

Very much this. It does a great job of straddling a whole bunch of genres and once you get beyond the shock and awe of the first bit of the story (which, as others have said, they actually expanded a bit in Episode 1) it really settles in as a strong character focused story.

And I loved a few of the shots they had of Yuzu in the crowd at her school. They did a great job of picking frames where Yuzu is alone, literally standing out in the middle of a crowd of faceless, same uniform wearing "robots."

The only thing I didn't like in the first episode is the music. Everything else seems really good to me. I love Yuzu, she's so cute. So far the adaptation is great and they didn't change too much stuff and the ones I noticed made perfectly sense. I can't wait for the next episode.

I just hope that Citrus will have more then 1 season. I hate that when they are stopping a good series like Shikabane Hime after only 2 seasons. There were more source material to use.

I really don't understand how it works. You can have a show like Naruto who are creating so many filler episodes that it's polluting the good series. I know that Naruto was more popular, but breaking the story for putting more unecessary episodes is a crime. You have franchise that deserve better that are cut short as an anime.

Citrus deserve better then just 13 episodes. The Story of Yuzu and Mei must be told in all its splendeur. Characters like Harumi, Matsuri, Himeko and Nene all deserver to be treated correctly. The only characters they should cut are Nina and Sara (because it was the worst part of the manga).

I was a little anxious about this getting an anime adaptation to be honest, but this first episode was really good! Love the manga and am looking forward to more of the anime!

Well compared to Netsuzou-Trap NTR, looks like this one is going to more light hearted, less dark, and have more colorful characters. And so real villain, unless the home room teacher is going to be the evil boyfriend we saw in Netsuzou-Trap NTR.

It is a different type of yuri series, haven't seen many. Though I have seen many step siblings series with brother and sister. So seeing two step sisters with romantic interaction is not new to me. Though have yet to see one with two step brothers.
