Yuzu is a little painful to watch. I mean, I admire how she's trying to help Mei after noticing her silent sadness. But damn, she does things without thinking about possible aftermaths of her action (and how to deal with those). She does a lot of thinking to start an action, but not what to do during it; almost like a perpetual deer in headlights.

You're not wrong though. I love her, but she's definitely the do first, think later type.

I agree, she thinks about the other first, without thinking to the consequences. I like that about her too. But you must leave room for character grow during the series, Yuzu can't be perfect from the star to the finish line. She's very lovely ! I wish I had a Yuzu when I was a teenager !

2 chapters in Episode 2.

I'm glad they're staying faithfully to the manga.

actually only a chapter and a half or maybe 3/4

They pulled a bit of chapter 2 into the first ep. (the conversation at the restaurant became one at home) so this is pretty much one chapter, in ground covered.

I hope they won't squeeze too much chapter in one episode.

Molestation is bad.

Yuzu is good.

Would watch a show just with/about her.

What I'm learning so far:

>sexual assault is okay if it's two girls
>sexual assault is okay if the assailant thinks the victim "wanted it"
>sexual assault is okay if the assailant is "broken inside"
>sexual assault is okay if the victim ultimately falls into twisted love with the assailant

Shame more people aren't calling this out for what it is: a disturbing display of one person's power over another through forced physical interaction. So far I've received no hint that Mei's actions are condemned; rather, it looks as if they're going to be excused or swept away due to whatever trauma she's facing. A very poor message to send, especially for a rather popular girls' love story. I was hoping this one might be different from the others, but it seems to be more of the same. Disappointing.

I'm glad the system can't keep Yuzu down. Glad she got rid of that teacher.

I think most people are letting the story play out as it is, and many people are already familiar with the story from the manga so they don't see it the way you do. It's a different perspective when you "know the future," so to speak. I don't think many people are really taking the perspective that sexual assault is okay at all. Now, if Mei's actions make her beyond redemption in your eyes then that's the way it is. Her actions are part of her narrative that don't just go away.

Citrus may not be as Drama filled as something like NTR but the messy elements are absolutely part of it. There certainly are more light hearted shoujo-ai and yuri stories out there, in fact I'd say most I've read are fairly free of much drama at all outside of the usual "but we're girls!", but not many of them make the leap into anime. It would be nice if there was more actual shoujo-ai/yuri in the anime space and based on the last few seasons I do think we're getting there.

Guilty as charged. I am just hear for the Yuzu.

Could care less about Mei or much else for that matter.

Shame on you for not seeing further then this, you saw this and you think that and everything else is like that ? Shame on you because you thought you learn something about Mei's behaviour and thought that we all think it's ok to do that. We all know it's wrong . In life all isn't rainbows and flowers. Those things happen, even between women. Putting your head in the sand and pretends it doesn't exist and souldn''t be show for what it is. You are wrong. Citrus is far from being an hentai anime where women are degraded.

This manga has character progression and they are slowly evolving and Mei will evolve just like Yuzu. We all know from the start what kind of character she is at that moment and I don't think anybody here thought that she was cool and loved the way she treated Yuzu. Do not judge so far on only two episode.

Look, I don't know you, I'm sure you are a good person, but you shouldn't insult every reader because they didn't point at something that is obvious. I used the same words YOU USED because your behaviour is not more acceptable. You are triggering me because you are talking without knowing.

I can judge this series because I'm reading up to volume 8 and I know what will happen, and this anime is following the manga closely. And what you claim to have learn here is COMPLETLY FALSE. You should appologize for insulting the readers or watchers of this series.

I agree with what you said ! And I would say, even NTR has redeeming quality, beside the bad first impression. The last chapters didn't had those abuse from the start and Yuma did change for the best and maybe she can save Hotaru from a world that despise her for no good reasons.

You're not wrong.

Mei gets cut a lot of slack after these early chapters, because the story is ultimately about Yuzu's ability to win everyone over. But if Mei were a step brother, I suspect people wouldn't be as quick to forgive.
