They're taken in by the chairman of Morinomiya Academy, who lost her son and daughter-in- law in the same crash, on one condition: Ryuichi has to babysit the kids at the daycare room in the school! The first episode is now out. New episodes come at 8am Pacific every Sunday. http://www.crunchyroll.com/school-babysitters/episode-1-untitled-758659

Episode 1

And so it begins with Ryuichi and Kotaro being taken in by the school's principal after their parents died in a plane crash. That's quite a scary lady that those two have as their new guardian, but they get to work with a bunch of toddlers seeing that Ryuichi's brother is one himself. While Ryuichi is taking it well, Kotaro, not so much as he's not used to the environment. But even though the headmaster looks scary, she's very humble seeing that she's there for Ryuichi when he's all broken down, all while she accepts some flowers those two picked for her. Well, that was decent stuff there, and while the first half didn't do it for me, the second half was pretty solid there once the theme of family became more prominent.

That was pretty cute and it definitely had some emotional punch as well. Nice solid start.

Hmmm...

Oh boy, here comes the responsibility. A guy like Ryuuichi taking on a job as a babysitter should be quite an experience.

It didn't take long for him to get right into taking care of Kotarou.
I think for most parts, the first episode did well at establishing the premise, introducing the characters, and crafting the chemistry between the cast. The kids are absolutely adorable so far

I'm curious to see how much they will adapt this. It's a 1 cour show but has a lot of chapters to work with.

Very cute episode!

Cute premise.

I'm a little concerned about hitting little kids, but relieved that Ryuichi was as well and it does explain whatshisface's behavior.

To think that something like this exists. Life is full of surprises.

It's something i didn't expect but it's not bad. It's cute, if anything. A fun start.

I really liked the first episode. I like the content, the characters.Lots of depth for a cute title.
The introduction of characters and story are very well written.I almost cried in the last bit when he was about to call his father, for a moment there.
Well someone mentioned a concern about showing a child getting hit , they edited that scene really well though.

So far its 2 thumbs up to me, although I don't like the character design of the Chairwoman

This show reminded me of the fact that I haven't seen my little cousins in a while and that I miss them T^T (neither of them are at that age where they've become little brats yet and they're both the cutest little things tbh)

Anyway, this was pretty cute! I really like the art style & animation, and the kids seem quite realistic for their age. The bit at the end was really sweet )they're such cute brothers <3) and I'm really looking forward to what this will have in store since it seems pretty unique.

I thought this was just going to be another generic bishonen anime with cute kids in it, but It turned out to be better than I was expecting

That was kind of a dark premise for a cute boys doing cute things with cute kids show. And pleasantly the show didn't pull any punches on the emotional side. I'm not sure where this show is going, but it seems worth a watch.

Kotaro is totally a young Bob Dylan:

I went into this expecting it to be purely comedic, so was pleasantly surprised by how heartfelt it was. Of course there's some special poignancy for me as I recently lost both my parents (dad 2 years ago & mom back in October). Every now & then I still have those moments when I see or hear something and think I need to tell them about it before I remember.
And I love the headmistress' quote: "Listen. Those we've lost will never come back. But that doesn't mean we're all alone in this world either. So don't go thinking you have to be strong all by yourself.."
I'm definitely following this series along with A Place Further then the Galaxy and the new CCS.

^ I'm so sorry. :(

It's a bittersweet show, and I didn't read the manga so look forward to seeing where they go with everything.

I loved how all the kids hid behind Yoshihito at first, then went right to attacking Kashima-san.

Woah, did not expect to enjoy this anywhere near as much as I did. Not gonna lie I cannot tolerate small children at all in real life, so I thought I'd have trouble appreciating it, since I was expecting just some show about how cute babies are or whatever (I generally avoid reading anything about upcoming shows so I can go in blind, but with this the title was enough to put me off). I have enjoyed several shows with a focus on young children before (Usagi Drop, Sweetness and Lightning, Poco's Udon World etc.), but as I said, I was not expecting this to share the same emotional tone with those three.

I was very pleasantly surprised at this more serious, emotional tone in it, and not glossing over the less cute aspects of childcare. Actually teared up a bit at the end lol. Surprised to say I am actually pretty looking forward to the next episode
