That cliffhanger dude. I wasn't expecting it to end that soon. I love it.

Episode 4

While Juri was caught off guard, grandfather was not as he pushed that thug aside so that Juri could freeze him. It turns out that he once experienced Juri's power before, which is how he became aware of it. So the two begin their counterattack, but they don't see Tsubasa and Makoto where they were taken. In the meantime, Majima is talking about those Handlers, which the cult calls Herald, and just as I thought, those things appear whenever one is about to kill a stalled person, but insider that thing is a corpse. So this episode takes a break from the cliffhangers after the last three ended on them, and now Majima's past is going to be explained next time. Should be interesting to see what her deal is seeing that she's not exactly the same as the others in the cult.

Another good episode that keeps up the intrigue.

I was hoping they'd explain why Gramps did not tell his family anything, and if Juri would fight back given that she can Expel, and it delivered. Scary.

As for the Herald, it seems there was some truth in the tale passed down to Gramps. So if they're people, then I guess there's a limited amount of them, and they all have individual lifespans.

Majima's past next, so this show does not beat about the bush.

I'm guessing that's around the time when Juri first manifested her powers...and it seemed powerful already at the time when she was little.

Really interesting to see more background storytelling. Gramps knows probably the most about what's been happening thus far into the story. I'm curious to know more about Shouko Majima too. So far, she feels like the most mysterious character compared to the other cast.

I don't know if I want to go into this "frozen time" appears to be where all the perverts go... but it seems like a still good and solid start with this one. I'm liking still the still shots including a few filler flash backs, that, thankfully, doesn't take away but add to the plot. I felt bad for the child version of Juri, poor thing, but I would image there are a lot of folks out there who would do such a thing for same said similar situation. even though they didn't know, at least you would. but the thug made a good point, at least the food will never spoil and a person could live happy.

in my opinion, I wonder if the creators were pondering let's create something which might explain all those times we can't find something in our home, location. it was once there, then, it just vanishes. in theory, that's how this cartoon has started out in the get go running. just an idea and thought to run with for the other viewers out there. with that notion, if you're addicted to video games or something, best of luck if you ever want to enjoy something "moving" again while trapped in Stasis. on a fun side note, one of the rare times I just let the beginning song run, I really dig that song!

Episode 4

Last weeks episode ended with a cult follower pretending to be frozen to do a surprise attack on Juri. Well that was quickly resolved as grandpa was able to save Juri and with her help push out the jelly. This is not the end of their problems as more followers show up chasing after them until they can't run no more. With grandpa tired out the cult followers discuss between themselves who will be the first to have their way with Juri and this really angers her that she finally fights back. Juri than asks her grandfather that this is not the first time she's been in this world because she remembers an event that happened when she was younger and a girl that she saw. The two had enough of running and fight back with grandpa teleporting behind cult followers holding them and Juri pushing the jelly out of them. Meanwhile back at their home one of the cult followers goes insane after finding out he can't leave the stalled world and almost to kills someone, but he stopped by the Herald. Majima than reveals that the Herald use to be people who stayed in the stalled world and they protect people who are frozen. That is why everyone has been warned before hand to not touch the stalled people. In the next episode we will finally find out Majima's past and how she fits into all this.

To me it's more like the whole Ring of Gyges thing in Plato's Republic, what would you do if you could get away with anything, would you still be good or give in to your "dark side"? It's like Gramps was telling Juri in ep2(?) Most people start doing the wrong thing so it's better not to use the power.
Also yeah the music is great the OP reminds me of some song can't really put my finger on it, especially when they go "ahhhahhh", a Gorillaz song maybe?
Anyway another great episode, the pacing in this show is really good, sprinkling in the flashbacks at just the right times, teasing us every week with just enough information. Also Juri kicks ass.

Very interesting concepts at play here. I like how objects seemingly just move in and out of stasis via contact with those who can move.

Juri is a bamf.

I wonder how much more of what is going on here ties into their past(s)

"We're starting our counterattack!" - it's about time Juri started to put her ability to good use.

Also, I agree, the OP theme is awesome!

This episode raised a lot of questions. What happened to the specter that came out of the guy who was killed by the Herald this episode? Why didn't the grandpa remember that Juri nearly pushed him out Stasis years ago? That seems like something that someone wouldn't forget so easily and would've been useful if he told Juri from the start. Why can't he also remember if he brought another little girl with him in Stasis before? I doubt he's just casually bringing strangers with him every day to this special world and doesn't bother to remember them. Is Majima somehow related to this family?

Judging by the preview, it looks like next episode will at least go over Majima's past and possibly show us the connection to Juri in the flashback.

Just watched through all of the episodes thus far. I'm quite surprised that this show does not have more buzz around it.

Episode 5

No wonder Majima is acting this way as her family crumbled to dust and became Heralds, and she's out to bring them back to her. Majima herself would have been one of them had she not met Juri 17 years ago, and by becoming one of the stalled she was saved. Everything she has done was so that she could meet Juri and find a way for her to bring her family back. Those thugs are figuring out what the correlation is between their intent to kill and the appearance of the Handlers, and she sees her family members among them. They manage to rescue Takafumi, though he's not thrilled that they were saved. Meanwhile, Makoto and Tsubasa make it back home, but they get a rude welcoming with Tsubasa getting stabbed. That was quite a backstory there for Majima, and losing her family like that, she has some legitimate beef there, and it would have been for the best for those two to finally talk things out. In the meantime, it's another cliffhanger as Tsubasa's life hangs in the balance after that.

Whaaaa thought you couldn't kill someone what's with that ending I'm going to guess it's a fake out and the guy stabbed himself. Now Majima is super interesting too, love her face when that guy suggested what he wanted for helping her. So many little subplots and intrigue going on this show is so good it's one that I most look forward to the next episode every week.

This show seemed strange but fairly straightforward at the beginning but has just gotten weirder each week. I really have no idea where they're going with all of it but I'm definitely intrigued.

It's only people in stasis that can't be killed without the Handlers interfering.
