idiots in action more like it. or are they in even action? I know it's pure and fact stupid. and scientists are even telling them this. there's a reason why we purify our water, even third world countries struggle with clean water... leave it to parts of America to reveal to the world that even though a small fraction are idiotic, then that reflects on the rest of the country that all are idiots.

equally so, don't see the appeal to "raw and healthy" in the same sentence ever. talk about all the worms, diseases and animal tinkle they could be ingesting. I'll stick with mine coming from the tap in my cute little water picture that purifies the water even further.

we rarely get anything out of North Korea so.. who knows...

as for cockroaches, i looked it up and it was China. My guess is the business is doing so good so they are trying to import them on their carry ons

Chinese couple had 200 roaches in airport hand luggage

Wow.... Judging by the comments here some of you people have never left the city or ever used non-city utilities. This is depressing, then again its easy to see the first ones to be naturally selected should city services go down.

Raw water craze? Is that the fancy new term for well water and spring water now? I've been drinking well water and spring water since I was a child and the stuff typically has a lot of iron and calcium in it. The water is typically better than the stale or chlorinated water from the city. The flavor changes so much from place to place its free natural flavoring for your water :D

What about the people here down South? The water down here, if not purified is even more of a risk due to brain eating amoeba's. I mean , there is purified spring water that you can buy here, but drinking it down in the South raw is insane.

Last I heard it was in your lakes and rivers. I've not heard of wells and springs all across the south containing amoeba.

Natural water definitely tastes better than the ones filtered from the tap.

I do not believe this topic pertains to well water facilities.
At the same time, people have all sorts of odd ideas about how water is outside of an area that relies on a water tank (filtration services) to provide water for homes.

Most well water homes have a filtration and/or softening system in place somewhere in the home or just outside of the well.
Same goes for spring water homes.
The difference is that the "craze" focuses on the raw water that hasn't any known source of origin.
In some areas, you may find salmonella typhi, giardia lamblia, or even cryptosporidium in their unfiltered/processed water.
This isn't true for all areas but do you honestly think that someone selling "raw water" is going to care about where they source the water if people are stupid enough to pay almost $40 for a jug (gallon) of water?
I sure don't.
But then again, I'm not stupid enough to pay $40 for a jug of water.

Do they have the tools to test that it's not tap water before purchase?

You know, I doubt this is really a "craze" and just localized to the bigger cities on the coasts and amongst the tin hat crowd, the hipsters, and the batshit insane people with too much money.

The media has lost touch with what the average person does or thinks to the point of ridicuousness. But, then again, even the news is selected for your entertainment.

I drink well water from my own private well that taps into a natural aquifer(1.5k feet depth) with a decently constrictive aquitard.
City water is for plebs that don't mind drink sewage water after a heavy rain .

This "raw water crazy" sounds like a joke... That's becoming more apparent(life becoming a joke), are people going insane?
