It really is beyond a joke. I'm a premium member, but have resorted to streaming from.... less than legal sources... in order to watch shows I should be able to legally access here. Why the hell am even paying for the service?

It's your 1st month on here, going off 1,000 CR points you have. This is the 1st time I ever had this problem in almost 1.5 years. Directly after Net Neutrality repeal.

No, I've been a premium member since July 2015. I've encountered it a lot. Particularly on Sundays (which I suppose would be Saturdays in the U.S). Usually when something very popular is released. The servers are run by hamsters.

Hmm... It has been particularly bad the past several days. Refreshing seems to do the trick, eventually. This same type of issue has occurred many times in the past couple years, but I don't remember it happening this consistently and on week days.

I don't think throttling resultant from the repeal of net neutrality laws in the U.S. would cause this issue. If CR was throttled, videos would load more slowly and you might not be able to view them in as high quality as you are used to, but it wouldn't cause these types of errors. These are server side and database errors. They result from CR not being able to handle the current amount of web traffic. I say that based on my experience as a software developer.

Regardless, I think CR owes an explanation to their premium users. At the very least, premium users should not experience these issues. It already looks bad if free users experience issues like this, but for paid members, that's not cost effective. They better come up with something quick, before we start finding better investments for our money. Any investment would be more sound than paying for services that don't work properly.

It is no excuse if it works on the app or elsewhere. The service needs to work properly everywhere it is accessed or the customers' needs are not met effectively. If they can only afford to make the app work, then they should discontinue the web service. Ridiculous, IMO. If anyone can say it better, I urge them to do so.

Ive been having issues all week. Really unfortunate. I would like some sort of official message that CR is aware of the situation and is taking steps to correct the issue.

It's a shame, I really like this dedicated otaku website. Unfortunately, it appears to be on it's last leg. Getting to be about 50/50 as to whether it will work. People justify it by saying organized attack, too many streamers during simulcast, or whatever, but it doesn't really matter the reason why. Either it works or it doesn't. Still not annoyed enough to cancel my membership, but close. Btw, screw VRV--this site is far superior...when it works. Why would I support the sister site they're pushing if the original doesn't work--especially when they make it so damn obvious transitioning over is their intention? I'm loyal to Cruncyroll.com not "Crunchyroll and Partners Inc", I'm sure many other subscribers feel the same way.
