Plot Summary

There are words Violet heard on the battlefield, which she cannot forget. These words were given to her by someone she holds dear, more than anyone else. She does not yet know their meaning.

A certain point in time, in the continent of Telesis. The great war which divided the continent into North and South has ended after four years, and the people are welcoming a new generation.

Violet Evergarden, a young girl formerly known as "the weapon," has left the battlefield to start a new life at CH Postal Service. There, she is deeply moved by the work of "Auto Memories Dolls," who carry people's thoughts and convert them into words.

Violet begins her journey as an Auto Memories Doll, and comes face to face with various people's emotions and differing shapes of love. All the while searching for the meaning of those words.

The show is dubbed and ready to go, but for some reason the rest of the world is getting it tomorrow while Netflix is not simulcasting it in America. Hopefully they are just working on it and that they are just forgetful about it, but they can't use production issues as an excuse if the rest of the world is getting what should be the same thing.

When it comes to anime Netflix needs to get over their "we only release for binge" watching if they really want to become competitive in the US. Honestly I've completely skipped series because Netflix held it. Half the fun these days of watching anime is sharing the experience with other fans online. If every series they did was released for binge watching at once everywhere that'd be one thing but the current model frankly sucks.

Gonna have to see if anything changed, but I did watch the first episode at AX back in Summer and it was beautiful and amazing. The set up us good and of course the Kyoani eye candy is always on point.

Will rewatch when I have the time

Dang, this looks good. Did they give any other goodies at the convention for the world premiere?

For Violet Evergarden no l, just this and we also got a live performance from the girl who sings the OP, True is her name I believe, and a Q&A with the director and Yui Ishikawa the voice of Violet

Well it certainly looks gorgeous, but I feel like Kyoani should turn down that "blur" filter in a few scenes. Intersting first episode, let's see how it continues.
