I just watched a little bit of episode 1 in stunning 1080p and Spanish dubbed. I was so excited, I was thinking of supporting Netflix and open an account so I can watch it weekly. Then I came to the forums just to realize that it's not gonna be there to watch it.

I want to support legal streams, but they make it so difficult.

The hand waving "they". You want to give them money but they won't take your money.

It is a difficult life.

Well, since Netflix won't bring it out that I decided to sample it and wait like I have done with their other shows. Production issues is understandable, but to have it ready to go and having it come out elsewhere but not in America, that's where the line has been drawn.

Episode 1

That was really beautiful out of KyoAni there. Violet was a killing machine back in the war, but now Claudia just wants to give her a chance to live a normal life to help other people rather than killing them on the battlefield. And for that, she's working at a mail delivery service. This show had been hyped up, and so far KyoAni has delivered, and then some. Unlike Netflix whose actions have no reasonable explanation to it.

Violet reminds me A LOT of Pino from the 2006 anime "Ergo Proxy"

Other then Pino being a much younger actual robot programmed with a very limited amount of child like emotions, the two are very straight forward in conversations. Ironically though Violet seems more like a child to me when it comes to her blunt innocence in dialogue. Pino however is more innocent though since she doesn't kill people.

Also screw you Netflix, you fight/side with the internet to keep net neutrality with the US, then you withhold this show from the very country that primarily fought with to keep the idea of a free and EQUAL internet!?!? Really!? (Anyways, good job kyoto animation!)

This show has a slow pace but I like how they are getting the viewers to understand Violet better. Personally, I have some problems with her character right now (mostly her straightforward personality) but we'll see how much she'll develop over the course of the show. I do like her character chemistry with Cattelya so far though.

Postal Company also seems like an interesting place although nothing too special about it from what's shown so far.

I wonder how much they plan to develop Violet and Gilbert's relationship throughout this show as she acts differently around him.

oh god. i love this. even if this ends up as a go no where slice of life, ill still love it.
i mean i love rize, but too much moe is bad for...well everything.
violet has a strong ikaros feel to her. and that is just fine.

gotta say i prefer the sub, vs the dub tho. not like me.

I like how our mai heroine's name is Violet and one of the first women we meet in the show's last name is Baudelaire. The world is quiet here, ehehe.
Anyway, I love the beautiful art and scenery, the animation is gorgeous and I'm really liking the character designs. Cattleya's design is definitely my favourite, do you see those garterbelts! *gasp* *swoon* XD I'm interested in seeing what's up with Claudia, I was kinda worried about him in that stuffed animal scene. So far, seems like a must watch, KyoAni delivering again!

I don't have much to say right now other than... this is getting that much better and better already. It's like a fine wine you sniff deeply and slowly and let trickle over your taste buds taking it all in. so good.

Unfortunately, the U.S. is the one country being excluded from Netflix's simulcast. There's currently no legal stream here. You gotta wait until Spring if you still want to watch it legally by then. As for where we're watching it, it's on sites that can't be named here.

I actually don't even know what to say now. This is just so damn good on every single level. I was expecting a lot but this has completely blown away all of my expectations.
