Episode 2

The episode starts off with Mr. Konodo introducing everyone to a new member of the staff which is Yoshikawa. He gets a job at the restaurant to try to get closer to Akira and find out more about her, but instead comes off annoying. We get to see Akira do some running after a customer ends up forgetting his phone and she chases after him. This however makes her leg injury worse and she has to be taken to the doctors. Now here is where the funniest part of the episode is for me at least. Mr. Kondo plans to have Yoshikawa bring Akira her stuff as he believes that his her boyfriend and she quickly denies this and the clients in the waiting room can be seen hearing their conversation. Than later while going out Akira happens to run into Mr. Kondo who was looking for her place to apologize to her mother in person. Instead they go out to eat and it is here where she confess that she likes him. Before Mr. Kondo can say anything he takes a while to respond to that meaning he knows what she meant by like and only plays it off. I didn't expect a confession in just the second episode but from here we will see what Mr. Kondo will do?

Weird. It seems to have disappeared from CR. I can't find last episode, even.

That's because it was never on CR to begin with. It's on Amazon.

Lol. I can't keep track anymore.

I generally like how they're shuffling events around, but sometimes I think they fall flat versus the manga.

This anime is some top tier stuff, shesh the ost and production values are implemented so well.

Shesh, just great. This is how you deliver, its setting up the romance drop so hard and i love it, hopefully if the show goes in the righter direction it will make her grow up to really find worth in herself.

I am loving this show. Amazing visuals. Awesome music. Great characters and character designs. A good balance between comedy and drama. Awesome facial expressions... the works.

Also tfw you have been to these places and they are drawn to detail so well... delicious eyes candy.

What a solid start to the show. In full agreement with what Yamstarch said. Everything is done on such a grand scale I can't help but be impressed. I read some of the manga a while back but I don't remember much honestly. I'm sure I'll enjoy the ride. Can't get enough of the ED by Aimer. When does that single come out?!

Argh, the manager is dense right? He is a bit of a klutz but he's a good man, and at that age, you wouldn't expect a high school girl to like you I suppose.

I just love Akira when she gets her little moments, it's quite cute.
As for the romance, I actually don't see it as problematic. The guy seems nice and unlikely to be manipulative. I think perhaps if it seems mutual, that the Manager gives her a couple more years, and if she still likes him, then they go serious.

And to echo others, that ED by Aimer is just fantastic; the melody gave me chills around my hair line.

Wow been putting this off until now the animation and music are so good. As for the story...well I'm trying to be objective while watching this but since I am a 45 year old guy too it's kinda weird. Do I root for him/ them? How would I handle this? First off I'm nothing like Kondo (he acts older than 45 though maybe that's cuz he has a kid or I act younger than the typical 45 year old, and look 10-15 yrs younger) so I can't really put myself in his shoes also Akari is so adorable I keep thinking 'you can do better be than him' (he smokes and has a kid). Anyway looking forward to more of this judging by the comments from the manga readers this won't be your typical 'old guy fantasy' show, I just hope it's good.
