A Full Circle Waltz

Young Elizabeth Sue swirled and twirled,
Alone on the ballroom floor.
Her emerald eyes still alight,
With hope forevermore.

Young Elizabeth Sue swirled and twirled,
Alone on the ballroom floor.
Until her blue eyed love to be,
Came walking through the door.

Young Elizabeth Sue swirled and twirled,
With her love on the balroom floor.
Every night for a dozen years,
Until their feet were sore.

Old Elizabeth Sue swirled and twirled,
With her love on the ballroom floor.
The last the pair would swirl and sway,
To the melodies they adored.

Elizabeth Sue no longer swirls,
Around on the ballroom floor,
But two bright eyes, one green, one blue, alight,
With hope forevermore
