Synopsis

29-year-old programmer Suzuki Ichirou finds himself transported into a fantasy RPG. Within the game, he's a 15-year-old named Satou. At first he thinks he's dreaming, but his experiences seem very real. Due to a powerful ability he possesses with limited use, he ends up wiping out an army of lizard men and becomes a high leveled adventurer. Satou decides to hide his level, and plans to live peacefully and meet new people. However, developments in the game's story, such as the return of a demon king, may cause a nuisance to Satou's plans.

I hope this series does the LN/WN justice. From what the author said when he saw a early preview it is looking great

Episode 1

It all begins with the bachelor Satoo coming in on a Sunday to work overtime, and works for three days nonstop dealing with all sorts of bugs. Just when he could take a nap, he ends up getting transported into the world of the game he's working on, and being a younger version of himself as well. The natural reaction is that he's in a dream, but everything just feels too real. And with one of the bugs in the game, Satoo finds himself all leveled up after using the meteor rain to slaughter a bunch of monsters. Satoo is overpowered as hell, but at least he has the presence of mind to keep it under wraps seeing that he's not sure what hit him. Pretty interesting start here as it does enough to separate itself from other isekai shows for the time being. Anyway, there's still a lot that remains unanswered, and so far none of the girls have appeared until the very end, so I'll see how it handles itself when that happens.

It's as generic and blend as I had expected.

Also, I can't stand Satou's voice so far. It's just so blend. They didn't introduce the main girls yet but I do expect them to appear more often later. First half of the episode was boring while the rest is so-so. I don't have high hopes for this show unless they really make the MC more interesting.

On the brighter side, really curious to see how they will adapt that other world for potential world building.

this type of anime do not work much in terms of getting the audience excited anymore.

Made me stop reading the manga.

Episode 1

Things start off with Satou coming in to work on a Sunday to work on bugs for three whole days. While fixing bugs he is asked by a person they call tubby to make the game easier for newbies and reminds him of a certain mode they had talked about. Finally after three days of working nonstop he finally gets some sleep only to be transported into the game and looks like a 15 year old. He gets attacked by lizard men and that reminds him of that game mode he talked about with tubby and uses the meteorite spell to kill them all but one lizard men that survived and fought 1v1. After killing all this lizard men he maxed out his lv and is able to max out any skills he wants. The next day while traveling he sees a wyren and after throwing a rock at it follows it to a army of soldiers who fight it off. One of the soldiers a blonde girl get blown away by her magic and Satou rescues her.

This anime was interesting at first we meet a programmer that somehow is transported into a game world. Things could have been interesting seeing him work at leveling up in the game but maxes out his level really quick and is now op as fuck... Now we have another Kirito who will soon meet a lot of girls and have a harem. From the way it was going it could have been another Grimgar but nope. I will give it two more before deciding to drop this.

MC's stats get maxed out and becomes super rich in the first episode.

Let me guess, he saves others who are in need, and then he will have a harem.

Having read the manga, I knew what this was going to be. It's just a repeat of Smartphone in another world, only slightly better, but that's not saying much.
Having said that, the first episode was more than I expected. In the manga it only showed the real world only shortly but the anime concentrated on it for half the episode to show how overworked he was. It was a good first episode for an overpowered fantasy but if you're worried that the show will just get stale and boring, you're not wrong. It's just another harem anime.

Basically this seems to be every stuck in the mud adult male's fantasy of wanting to go back somehow and relive their youth and have adventure too as the super OP hero. In a way there's nothing wrong with doing a story built around that premise as long as it is well done and entertaining, and has enough other content to make it interesting for the rest of us who don't in particular need that fantasy. However, in choosing to make the MC so powerful from the start I think they lost out on something that can make game based Isekai animes fun to watch, and that is leveling up. Getting those new abilities and items as well as the story and world building.Granted it is based on a manga so they didn't have much choice.

Overpowered MC? Ding!
Harem? Ding!
Transported by death? Ding!
Teenager? Ding!
Generic isekai? Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

In all seriousness, yeah I really dislike these but let’s see how different or perhaps how similar this is to other iterations...

All very run of the mill.

Having said that I can't say I hate the genre.

Lets hope this manages to have some originality.

Thursdays are now isekai Thursdays thanks to this and Maerchen Maerchen. Also glad Run Girls Run and Wake Up Girls are getting more popular.
