Episode 1

The first episode introduces us to Arato Endo a 17 year old boy who treats humans and AI the same. Because of this people find him weird but that does not bother him. On the way home with his friends he happens to spot a hIE's arm and reports it to the police. Than he sister Yuka happens to spot him and comes over with her friends who happen to be the sisters of his friends. That night Arato goes shopping since Yuka ate all the meat before dinner and we get to see how advance the supermarkets are. Meanwhile a group of five hIE escape and a group of mercenary are sent in to stop them. This is the only part we get to see some action but it ends to quick. While walking home Arato gets attacked and that's when he meets the hIE Lacia who chooses him to be her first owner. When he arrives home his sister doesn't make a big deal of Lacia as long as she can make food for them.

The first episode wasn't that bad, but I'm not fond of Arato as he seems like the weak MC type who will be rescued by Lacia most of the time. I was however interested in the world the anime is taking place. Seeing how advanced technology is questions how long it will take for us to get there? With this being 24 episodes we can expect a good story.

Episode 2

Life with Lacia begins, and Sora is out to find her original owner as she's a high-end hIE by having her become a fashion model, but nobody has ever been registered to her. Sora left his tablet at school, and with his homework on it, he needs to get it back. Lacia has become a huge hit for fashion modeling, and it's no wonder why she came to Sora as his father is a world famous scientist who created these beings, but Lacia is not one of his creations. Just when it looked like everything is all and well with hIEs, problems are starting to prop up starting with an incident in which some men were injured trying to kidnap one of them. That was a pretty laid-back episode for the most part, but the questions there at the end, that's really something to think about. Not to mention because they are machines that they could be hacked and be made to do destructive things.

Next time, the focus is on Kengo as his family is against getting a hIE for themselves, but Kouka drops in. So after a rather lackluster first episode, this one gets more to the point of what this show is supposed to be about.

Lacia really looks human this week with her personality and role.

The OP song is alright (fits for this show) by the theme of it. (very sci-fi flicky with the action elements) I think this episode is still trying to build more into the relationship between Arato and Lacia.

Lacia also looked really good with her clothes this episode, like a fashion model almost.

I'm guessing the pacing will pick up soon.

Episode 2

The episode first starts with Lacia making breakfast for Arato and Yuka. Since the last episode Lacia has started to express more emotions that she is able to smile and giggle. When Arato goes to school he tells his friends about the hIE he picked up and they tell him he should report it in case someone is looking for her. Arato than gets her information so that his friends can see what type of hIE she is and turns out she is a high end hIE. At home Arato finds out that Yuka put Lacia in a modeling competition and she even won. The next day Arato and Lacia meet a person from a modeling company and she is well inform on Arato. She wants Lacia to start modeling right away and has her show off a dress around town as some camera's follow her around. She is later join by two hIE that are also models and together attract a big crowd of people due to a analog hack. After the modeling job as they walk home they notice a accident and turns out a person was hurt as he protected his hIE from being stolen by three other men. Kengo who family does not approve of hIE is greeted by Kouka who is Lacia sister.

This episode was pretty much chill and nothing really happen beside the modeling job. However i did enjoy the show that Lacia put on with the other models and looks like she will have a bright future as a model. That is until she is spotted in battles in the future. Now that Kouka showed up in front of Kengo i wonder if she will choose him as her owner? We will have to wait till next episode to find out.

I don't know how I feel about this anime. Episode 2 was just pointless to me. I'm going to give it another episode or two, hopefully something happens to keep me hooked.

There are still some bits and pieces that I hold some faith in, but Ep2 didn't do a heck of a lot to make me like this series any more than I did after Ep1, which wasn't very much.

Hmm, wasn't a very interesting second episode, only towards the end was there some movement.

Perhaps they could develop this episode's angle of how society treats the hIEs further, though I expect it to focus primarily on action.

Meh that episode was pretty lame sprinkled with a little exposition. Does Lacia not know what she is? Why is Kouka so much more self aware? Oh well I could go on but was just expecting more from this.

Episode 3

And Lacia gets kidnapped, with the culprit being that purse snatcher from the other day. From this chase, Arato learns that Lacia is a Red box, and thus she is built to be a vigilante. Since that guy is a serial hIE-killer that it calls for execution by Lacia, but before that is carried out Kouka attacks. Then it turns into a showdown between sisters, and somehow these androids have feelings. The first half was pretty underwhelming, but once Kouka jumped into the battle, things became more interesting, especially with that exchange between Kouka and Kengo. Next time, it's going to be about those two.

Episode 3

After the modeling gig Arato is acting differently around Lacia and she knows it. While in his room Lacia comes in with some tea and proposes acting certain way for him only for 5 minutes. This just makes things worse as he likes the way she is acting but is to embarrass about it. The next day Arato wakes up only to find his sister running back to tell him that Lacia got hit by a car and was kidnapped. Arato quickly acts by calling the police by they can't doing anything since hIE are property so his next choice is to ask his friends for help. With the help of Kengo he able to track the location of Lacia and turns out it was the guy that got kicked out for grabbing Lacia in the last episode. However this was all a set up by Kouka to see if Arato is worthy enough to be Lacia owner. In the end Kouka retreats and Kengo has to pay a price for helping Arato.

We are three episodes in all still not close to what the plot is about. This episode had it's funny moments like when Lacia acted differently for Arato. We are starting to see some action besides the small part we got in the first episode. When it came to Kouka i like her character a lot she seems to be the one that likes to mess around and at the same time cares about her older sister. The next episode Kengo is going to take center stage, so that should be fun to watch.
