Nope, laptops shouldn't be banned. No point, most kids would rather talk 2 friends at school than play w/ laptop. Or is tat just my opinion??

That's a stupid reason.. if you wanted to play games that badly then just stay at home.

Our school doesn't have laptops and doesn't allow them either, so let them be banned. I don't care.

At our schools.. everyone gets a MAC laptop, some websites are blocked while at school, but if you use your own internet at home the internet works and you can go pretty much anywhere, but my school got these laptops for learning, the program, Laptops for Learning, all students in our school district got a laptop to use for the school year, and we get to take them home and stuff. But most of the time kids just use them to chat and e-mail and stuff, and even play games, i dont think they should be banned though, because sometimes they really are useful

Laptops.. >_> Please, the reason why schools use paper and pencils is to copy down written notes. Sure, it may not be as easy to keep as with a laptop.. but guess what? If your database [school's] gets hacked/destroyed, all info is trashed.

If it is written, it can be stored in a very safe place where robbers won't be able to get in. Although, doubt that they can if your school has high security.

Also, for those with bad handwriting, you can simply just practice at home more.

What a great way of supporting your own argument.

I have a classmate once who played online games in her laptop during lectures. It would have been ok if she didn't sit in the freaking front middle seat where every single person can see it. WE would always get distracted by it which is a relief I guess cuz the history professor was boring. she knows her stuff but damn, she's so boring. then, one day, my prof moved back to show a film and saw that she was playing. She had the gull to actually deny it and say that it was a pop up. Anyways, she was banned from using it from then on, but the girl stopped showing up after that.

no, i wish i had a laptop cause then i would go on here and not pay any attention in class, i would also probably go to gaiaonline and check up on some things...

Mmmmm nope...and i think not for highschool and college students...but if theyre playing with games during class hours then its thier problem its thier school performance that theyre messing around...just as long as your not disturbing other students then its fine...just use it as your advantage.

I don't think high school students should have them- unless they're in AP classes, because let's face it, you're sooooooo going to be checking out your myspace every five minutes.
