Hope this means all the episodes leading up to 754 is added, it will give me something to watch for months.

Would be something nice to have, but unlikely. This is just part of the Funimation partnership agreement, so only through the first 130 that they have over there.

=/, I kinda wish Conan wasn't a funimation license....when they insist on not doing much with it....

its really hard to get into a series if you have like 700+ episodes that aren't available to watch...it kinda hurts any popularity this series could get outside of japan.

@catseyestiger Noragami season 1 was added December 2016, but we're still waiting for season 2 (which I watched when I was subscribed to Funi).

I already emailed Crunchyroll but maybe posting here will get additional attention.

First of all thanks for acquiring more Case Closed (since Funimation won't do anything else with the license)

But as some others have requested it would be great if the episode numbering is corrected; technically it's episodes 1-123 not 1-130. Funimation divided up several one hour episode specials into separate episodes and this will eventually cause problems if all the other episodes are someday acquired.

Also episodes 79-130 (technically 76-123) have no Conan's Hint at the end of the episode.

Episode 105 (technically episode 99) has no preview

Episode 125 (technically episode 118) has its epilogue scene missing which is kind of important to first time viewers and reveal's the fate/status of a notable character...

Episode 130 (technically episode 123) has no preview.

Wasn't Shangri-La like one of the first simulcasts after Crunchyroll went pro? I remember that boomerang...and that the show didn't do as much with its premise as it could have. It was a good ride though.

All these new animes and none available in Brazil. I'm disappointed. :(

They're not "new" anime, they are "old" ones, with already (limited) established licensing rights being inherited from Funimation, who at the time of acquisition was only interested in serving the USA. The rights for other countries are held by other companies, and/or are just not available for CR to pick up.

To save yourself future pain, you may as well skip reading any title announcements containing the word "Catalog"; those mostly aren't going to be available in countries where English is not the primary language (and not even all of the ones where it is). It is only the simulcasts just being newly produced each quarter in Japan where CR will be able to negotiate for world-wide licensing (except Asia).

It depends. For example, Steins;Gate is licensed by Funimation in Latin America and Brazil, but Funi didn't give a damn about it and only put it in US/CA. So, I assume that the agreement for catalog titles between CR and Funi is only for English-speaking territories and the few series that Funi licensed for Latin America will not be available on Crunchyroll whatsoever, unless a 2nd or 3rd season is due. I think that's why Funimation reached a deal with Amazon for those titles in Latin America.

Well, that's an interesting observation... Unless this is something which just appeared in the past week or so though, I would say it was the other way around. That Funimation already had a prior arrangement with Amazon, and so they couldn't offer it to CR in LATAM for that reason. The same sort of restriction happens for some Funi titles in AUS/NZ (for example), with Animelab holding the rights there, so CR can't make them available too.

I'm glad that Case Closed early episodes are now available here, but I hope that CR continues and gets the remaining episodes that aren't currently available. I want to legally watch them.
