harsh call, as a fan of them both and would have no problem watching either one again, and always looking forward to the next season, I rather like the onslaught trauma in Tokyo ghoul more.

I thought Tokyo Ghoul was bit slow paced but I have only watched the first season. I was also part of the AOT fandom before I had even watched it because it’s so popular on Instagram and whatnot

To be honest i wanted to drop Tokyo Ghoul so bad but i made myself watch it all just to see why all the hype and now i regret wasting my time, too edgy for me but AOT is deffinetly in my top 10, its the only anime that made me read the manga just because the plot was so good and now that i know that the story so far in the anime is not even 5% of the whole story in the manga yet it's still soooo good makes it a 10/10 anime.

I know what you mean Neerin!! I can barely remember Tokyo Ghoul up to the last couple of episodes, the last couple were epic though. I got a bit obsessed with AOT and I’m planning on starting the manga soon hopefully!

When you get into the manga and get to a certain point i think chapter 80ish it starts getting more and more frustrating because you know that will be like season 5 or 6 and you want to see that animated sooo bad.

I noticed Crunchyroll had added the manga but it starts from chapter 50 which I think covers what the next season is about. I want to read it from the beginning though so I’m not missing anything. Bring on July when the next season will be out!!

Both were on equal footing after season 1, perhaps AoT being a little higher, but season 2 kinda dropped both down the ratings significantly for me. TG though, I could watch, AoT I just couldn't get into season 2.

I tried to get in Tokyo Ghoul, but after 5-6 volumes, i dropped it. Lost interest. I'm unlikely to check the anime adaptions.

Attack on Titan however, is something i read (currently at volume 17). While i'm not the biggest fan, it's much more enjoyable than TG. I'm planning to check the anime later.

Attack on Titan.
I'm not a huge fan of either series, but Attack on Titan is a solid shounen series for the most part, and while it does have a lot of flaws, I've still been reading the manga for 4+ years now, so it has been relatively entertaining.

The Tokyo Ghoul anime is a mess for the most part (Pierrot fucked up pretty badly on it imo) and the original manga was a LOT better, but I still didn't think it was anything amazing. Still kept me interested, though.
The Tokyo Ghoul:re manga has bored me to death and I honestly don't know why, but it just doesn't have the same feel to me as the original series. There's a few interesting bits here and there, but for the most part it's bland to me.

AOT. Mostly because the dialogue and story are more coherent than in Tokyo Ghoul. Well, that, and the Tokyo Ghoul anime drifted from the canonical storyline.

They're both extremely good but I'd have to say AoT

I haven't read the manga for either. I've only seen the first season of Tokyo Ghoul, so I can't really compare the entire show to the entire Attack on Titan series yet. But if I had to compare just the first seasons for either show I think Attack on Titan would win out in my opinion.
