As the title says, I'm looking for great anime's that are completed series. I've seen a few threads that are 2 or more years old, and even in them, the direction taken was not always my cup of tea, so I will name some animes that I really liked, and I'm looking for more stuff that are similarily well-made.

My good ones (In no particular order)

Death Note (One of my favorites, I love psychologically disturbing shows like that)
Code Geass (Same type of morally messed-up anime awesomeness)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Great character developpement, good plot, nice ending, great show all around)
Naruto / Naruto Shippuden (While this is targetted to a younger audience, the character developpement and feels were good enough to keep me in)
Your Lie in April (That was so great! Can't think of another anime that brought me to tears, 'nuf said)
Recovery of an MMO Junkie (There might be a follow-up, but it's not confirmed, being an MMO fan myself, i liked)

A few that are not completed that will give an idea of my tastes:

Attack On Titan: (Yes, the kind of anime that isn't scared of killing main characters, love it!)
Bleach (This one was good up to Aizen arc, then got stupid with fullbring arc, seems to be better with the next arc but the anime isn't even at this point yet)

I like many genres, as you can see, "Your lie in april" is not violent at all, but I still loved it, same for Recovery of an MMO junkie. Some list I saw named Cowboy Bebop as one of their favorites, but after 5 episodes, I just can't get into it because of the episodic format. Let's get this clear, I'm not watching series to see 25 20-minutes stories, I watch series to have stories that are longer and more fleshed-out than a 2:30h movie.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

Hmm interesting list, I can give a few of my favorite titles off CR but two things in mind:

1. I mainly watch romance, rom/com, and parody anime. These genres tend to have predictable templates, so if you don't like the series about 1/3 a way into it, drop it, if you don't have the time to muddle through.

2. The natures of previously stated genres tend not to have the series completely wrapped up. I think I can list the amount of shows off my digits that I have seen with an ending that made me go, "Yup that was a good ending, I hope they keep it like this."

And here we go:

@Kimi ni Todoke - From Me To You http://www.crunchyroll.com/kimi-ni-todoke-from-me-to-you
Shoujo, Romance

If memory serves me right, this was one of the rare exceptions to an inconclusive ending syndromes that affect the series. It has been a really long time and only noticed that both seasons were on CR. The pacing is "ehhh" but the ending is heartwarming. As for a story, it more about an awkward girl who finds herself through companionship, be it romantic love, or love from friends.

@MY love STORY! http://www.crunchyroll.com/my-love-story
Romance, Slice-of-life, Comedy

Honestly, this is one of the best rom/coms I have seen in years. It is episodic by nature since it is SOL, and the story is also non-existent. But it made me laugh so hard I started to cry at some points and had a good heartwarming ending.

!Engaged to the unidentified http://www.crunchyroll.com/engaged-to-the-unidentified
Romance, Comedy, Slice-of-life

This is a prime example of a hit or miss. It is generic but interesting, and goes to show how to balance comedy with romance. Give it a try to the first couple of episodes, dump it if you don't like it at that point since it won't really change.

Since this is taking longer than I thought here are some more that I really enjoy, but don't have enough time to explain why.
#Full Metal Panic! series: Action, Romance, Comedy
Season 1: http://www.crunchyroll.com/full-metal-panic
Season 1.5: http://www.crunchyroll.com/full-metal-panic-fumoffu
Season 2: Not here, but Funi still has it, so it should be around soon.

!D-Frag: Comedy, Slice-of-life
http://www.crunchyroll.com/d-frag

#Blood Blockade Battlefront: Comedy, Action, Slice-of-life, Supernatural
http://www.crunchyroll.com/blood-blockade-battlefront

*Yona of the Dawn: Romance, Action, Adventure, Comedy
http://www.crunchyroll.com/yona-of-the-dawn

@Dusk Maiden of Amnesia: Romance, Comedy, Slice-of-life, Supernatural
http://www.crunchyroll.com/dusk-maiden-of-amnesia

There is a good chance that the whole SOL genre will turn you off, it has for me for a while too, but the ones I mentioned had something special that kept me around. Since anime tends to drift off into space for only one season and leaves you hanging most of the time, the tokens next to the name indicate:

! = Ended on a good note, but could go on.
@ = Conclusively ended in a satisfactory way.
* = "And the adventure continues" sort of ending. (In the original medium of course)
# = No real conclusive ending, but good chance/confirmed sequel seasons.

There are tons of others here on CR, but too many are incomplete or have incomplete endings with no sequel in sight.

I don't usually see the show advertised that often but I found /shin-sekai-yori-from-the-new-world to tell a complex and thought provoking story.
I'd like to recommend it as a hidden gem but the show is pretty hit or miss with people so give it a few episodes and see if it pulls you in.

+1 to this!

Also give Dusk Maiden of Amnesia a try. Its also a hit or miss with not many being lukewarm but I found it to be a hidden Gem.

Toradora! is high school comedy/drama/romance, and reaches a conclusion. Good stuff.

Charlotte, Angel Beats! and Little Busters! are all various magnitudes of supernatural comedy/drama hung on a high school endoskeleton. Each one is complete, on CR and are all worth watching. If you cry easily, have tissues on hand. Angel Beats especially will mess you up.

Amagi Brilliant Park is fantasy/comedy, a lot of fun, and a complete story in one season.

Chrono Crusade may look a little dated, but it's still a good story, and the main characters are wonderful. It reaches a conclusion, and it's a gut punch. Prepare yourself.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works is the only installment of the Fate franchise I've seen, so it's the only one I'm commenting on. It's a full story unto itself. It's very pretty, worth watching. I'm not a fan of the MC, but everyone else makes up for him, so I can recommend it.

Anyway, there's a few.

Thanks to all those who sent me recommendations!

I did watch a few of what was proposed, and I think those I watched were great.

Kimi ni Todoke was very good. I really liked the main character. Maybe a bit too many "misunderstandings" but hey, it was funny.
Toradora! was also pretty fun. Not much to add there.
Dusk Maiden of Amnesia was amazing, the intro song is still in my head. I loved this show.
Time of Eve was ok, though I felt there was an immense build-up for a very quick ending, could've been more developped.
Konosuba I already knew but forgot to put it in my first list. It's awesome.
Shin Sekai Yori was great, and very sad. I liked how intricate it was. very well made, and great art.
Hunter X Hunter took me a while to watch, but I really enjoyed it. Glad someone suggested it because I skipped over it very often thinking it would be childish.
Another was great too, haven't seen many horror stuff on CR but this was good. Mei was a very fun character.

I will start watching more of the recommended titles, but again, thanks for the suggestions, and don't hesitate to put more if some come to your mind.

It is a romance drama set in a junior high school. The male lead is a famous pianist who has been in a 2 year slump. One of the female leads is a violinist and the other is a childhood friend with no musical talent.

I won't explain why but it is an emotional rollercoaster.
