Ah, the Lincoln Blackwood. This was Lincoln's first attempt at a pickup truck. Unfortunately, it sold poorly and thus was produced for only one year, 2002.

The auto industry may have seen this as a colossal flop, but I see it as a unique, quirky, luxurious pickup truck that I'd want to drive. If the looks don't attract you, maybe the name will.

What are your thoughts on this rare ride? Is it something you'd love to pick up (no pun intended)? Discuss.

What an ugly truck.

Luxury vehicles need to stay away from pick up trucks. They can't even get a simple design right.

Sure it's probably practical, but honestly.. let me drive it for about a week and I'll let you know what I really think.

why does Chevy Avalanche come to mind here... guess this is Ford's answer to the Avalanche? however, the avalanche looks better, but hey at least they tried to do something, not every vehicle/copy release is going to go over well. DeLorean, I rest my case... and when a vehicle has too many issues they eventually stop making them, it costs more to recall and repair than to just can the entire product line and start again.

This truck, like all modern trucks, just doesn't appear to have enough bed space. The point of trucks is to move stuff, not people.

Eight foot and longer beds are still available.

If you look specifically for them, sure. I just see the 6'6" beds, and I'm pretty sure I see pickups with beds as short as 3 or 4 feet. They look weird and distorted to me.

The size of the bed weirds me out more than the front end of this 'Lincoln Blackwood', and that's a weird front end.
