No. Never.

If you're religious - God makes no mistakes and you're always babbling about an after life that's better so die off already.

if you're secular - survival of the fittest, hope you reproduced.

No. Nobody would be worthy of having the cure so I'd simply destroy my body entirely.

It depends. If it is guaranteed to work, then I would gladly lay down my life to put an end to cancer. But until I can be assured that it works, I would not and even if it did, I'm not quite so sure I would still do it. After all, I do have a right to live and enjoy my life as I see fit, and I'm not going to give it up for something that may not result in something that's the be all, end all to an agonizing problem. Anyway, I'm not exactly sure if anybody will come across this path, but if it comes down to that, only under the most ideal of circumstances will I do it.

Muh friend, you've sold yourself short. A "cure for cancer" (even assuming it only applied to a particular variety of malignant cancer) would be worth, to the pharmaceutical industry, trillions at a minimum over its lifetime. Not millions. Not billions. Trillions. As in, a Nobel Prize in medicine, as much grant funding as your labs could possibly want for the rest of your life as a researcher, immeasurable savings on PR and marketing campaigns due to bragging rights, and adulation in the press for as long as your company may live. We're talking groundbreaking, the world is your oyster kind of stuff here. Offer it at bargain basement prices and absurd profits are still assured assuming you know what you're doing.

That said, to engage your actual question, I would submit myself to medical science after saying a heartfelt goodbye and spending enough time with my family and friends for us all to be satisfied. Maybe we'd go on an extended holiday for half a year or so at least, just traveling the world and seeing everything we'd like to see together and taking lots of photos and videos. Oh, and of course the compensation would be proportional for them after I was gone (bills wouldn't be a worry for quite a bloody long time, I assure you, and I'm a ruthless negotiator). A Dem Soc though I am, that Nabiki Tendo avi isn't for decoration, either.

Yes, on the condition that a statue in my honor is erected that is the tallest structure in the world with the quote at the base that says, "bow down to your new lord and savior".

Jesus killed himself to cure your cancer? That is pretty bad-ass of him.

God put cancer, sickness, and disease as punishment for Adam and eve eating the forbidden fruit and bringing sin into the world. Be counterproductive for god to kill his son to stop cancer which was intentionally put on earth by god in the first place lol.

If I was dying anyway then sure. I'm not going to write a self-indulgent, obnoxious essay delving into the whys and why nots, but if there was a non-lethal way to help those with cancer I would participate most definitely. Cancer runs strong on both sides of my family so I'd do what I can, save for self-sacrificing for an experiment that may not work, unless ofc I was already dying. I don't see why it would require death for an otherwise healthy individual.

Hell no, what has the world done to deserve for me to give up my life? Maybe. Also they must give me a big ass statue made of platinum with the engraving 'Hero of Mankind blah blah something cool' then i'll consider it.
