And, in the case of Space Dandy, in Latin America what?

Its more than obvious that Funimation holds the rights to Latin America, why not putting it on CR? (this applies to certain animes available on Amazon Prime Video for LATAM that are licensed by Funimation).

As discussed in a couple of posts in the other recent catalog title announcement ( /forumtopic-1012941/more-catalog-titles-steinsgate-kiznaiver-dub-a-good-librarian-like-a-good-shepherd-magikano?pg=3), it appears that Funimation likely had an arrangement with Amazon regarding Latin America rights that predates the partnership with Crunchyroll which prevents them from sublicensing to Crunchy for those regions.

Note that this title (and probably others) are also available in the US on Amazon Video for purchase, but not as part of Prime Video.

If Amazon already paid Funimation for exclusive streaming until that's up there's not much Funimation can do about it.

You're talking about Crunchyroll.

Also, regarding Speed Racer: That's weird, since the page shows the previous owner that was in legal problems with Tatsunoko. In that case, Crunchyroll must change that in order to reflect the current owner in North America, Funimation.

I put my two cents on another post. Speaking more seriously, that means that Crunchyroll never cared about catalog titles in Latin America (unless there's a 2nd or 3rd season, as I happened with Garo, Kekkai Sensen, Love Live Sunshine and Overlord) and Amazon asked for exclusivity on Funi titles for Latin America.

No, it doesn't. This conversation was already at a dead end before you brought it back in this thread:

Had Funimation already licensed their catalog's Latin American streaming rights to Amazon before the CR deal happened?

Or did CR choose to forgo all catalog LATAM rights in their 2016 negotiations with Funimation?

I see no reason whatsoever to cynically assume the latter, especially after this. http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1004995/international-dubs-coming-to-crunchyroll

So, where are the Space Dandy episodes..? I go the show's page through the link listed in the announcement sentence, yet there are no videos showing on the page yet, even though I can add it to my queue. And yes, I'm in the United States.

Becuase geoblocking is still legal in the EU.

So the license holder probably wanted more money then CR was willing to pay for it to have it available in Denmark. The pirate party have been trying to make such region blocking in the EU illegal for a very long time.

CR has little to do with the licensing of these titles, as these are ones brought over from Funimation.

All in this batch were licensed by Funimation well before their partnership with CR. The most contemporary one is Space Dandy, and the second half of it is from summer 2014.

Now that you mention it, what were the last titles CR licensed that weren't simulcast? Even if it was something older, I think people would love it as long as it was worldwide available.

While I don't know the answer to your first question for sure I know before the partnership they got maybe 7 or 8 a season (compared to 4 or 5 a week now) for the most part. I think most of those still came from a NA company like Nozomi though so they were still US/Canada only. The problem is aside from huge shows looking at the popular page you see mostly simulcasts. (http://www.crunchyroll.com/videos/anime) Catalog titles aren't typically worth licensing as they don't pull in the views simulcasts do and the ones that do pull in those views are already licensed especially once you try getting worldwide excluding Asia there's probably nothing worth it left.
