For any anime I choose in my iOS app, if I select season 2, it immediately terminates the app. This has happened since the last update. No problem a few days ago. I am a premium member.

Uninstall/reinstall? I just installed on an iphone 6 yesterday and it works fine for me. Maybe the update didn't clean up correctly...

Thx for the reply. It’s strange that it works on my iPhone 6+ but not my iPad Air 2. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, hardclosed and rebooted on the iPad to no avail.

Same here with my iPad, ever since the update if I try to change the season of any anime the app immediately crashes.

Thank goodness it wasn't just me that was experiencing this issue lol

I did a bit of testing, and it seems that it has something to do with being logged into an account on the app (not sure if the account being premium or not has anything to do with it). When I logged out and tried, second seasons were opening fine without crashing, but when I log back in, the problem resumes

Ok, how about this:

1) First, if the show is not in your queue, add it there from the website show page.
2) Next, on the website show page, play the first episode, of the season you are trying to watch, for something like 1-3 minutes, then quit.
3) Finally, exit the app on your device, then restart it and go to your queue to see if you can continue playing from there.

I can't imagine they aren't working to fix a bug like that, but if that still doesn't work, then you might wish to put in a support request just in case no one explained it fully to them yet (works on 6s, doesn't work on other device model)

Asharka, that’s a brilliant idea! I still have the problem (and am corresponding with support, but no success so far) but by starting it for a few minutes on the iPhone, I can have it pop up in my history. Selecting it from the history list, I can watch it no problem on my iPad. As a temporary fix, at least I can watch it :-).

Thanks!

I have reset my iPad to factory specs! Re down loaded the app only to have it crash out on season select and my que! The Crunchyroll app does not play nice with the new iOS. They are not responding to this issue with a update or information so just be patient and accept the loss of functionality of the app. Seems to be the attitude of Crunchyroll and it’s parent company. Yes as a temporary fix use a second working CR app to work around issues. You just need a functioning device!

WORKAROUND

Login to Crunchyroll.com from Safari.
Navigate to the show and pick your episode.
Click launch with Crunchyroll app button.

If the app loads and it just shows the spin circle, close the App and retry the launch app button.

Hope this helps some of you until this gets fixed.

I just wanted to say I have the same issue with my iPad Air 2 and it started after the latest update. Whenever I try a different season of Food Wars (switching from first to second or third) the app crashes. I guarantee this was not happening before since I would watch the series a lot and would often switch between seasons with no problems. No, the problem is not with the iPad. It’s a bug which Crunchyroll needs to fix. Oh, and I’m a premium member too.

They dropped iPad support? This would explain a lack of response to this issue affecting users! Mabel they are dropping iOS support all together!

We've not dropped support for any of these devices and we don't plan on doing that either.

The fix for the season selection is already being worked on and it will be released as soon as it is done and Apple approved the new version.

The fix for the crashes was released last night. Update your app to the latest version, and everything should work again.
