At least 17 dead and you are posting silly emoticons and cracking wise about the "left". I don't think this is appropriate, and if you somehow think that this is a normal, healthy way to respond to mass shootings leaving behind piles of bodies, I think that says a lot about the state of this country.

Cite your source please cos if its just the name Cruz that making you think this, kinda means nothing doesn't it.

Its not because of your political leanings that makes people talk down to you btw.

Islam control when? Also when did ISIS start becoming the "Syrian Resistance"?

Suspect Was A Former Student Of Stoneman Douglas High School And Was Expelled

Suspect Was Banned From Bringing Backpacks To Campus

Other Students ‘Predicted’ The Suspect Would Do Something

Suspect Was In Youtube Chat Room Conversation About Bombs

This was an ignored ticking timebomb everyone knew about but did nothing to solve the problem or help this kid. It's quite sad the gun-free zone failed to prevent yet another mass shooting and deprived the teachers of the ability to protect the students

The internet troll factory is in overdrive at the moment. His supposed instragram account shows him wearing a MAGA hat and American flag balaclava. This has kicked up a counter trolling op out of /pol/ and across Twitter. A known troll account on Twitter posted a supposed picture of him wearing an "Antifa" shirt. Which is, in actuality, this joke t-shirt:

https://www.threadless.com/product/383/the_communist_party

They've also been breathlessly pushing around the story that he's a registered Democrat ( a story first pushed by the Gateway Pundit ) but the voter registration being passed around has the wrong birth date and isn't him.

Finally, there's a conspiracy theory making the rounds that he's actually an illegal immigrant or a Dreamer.

TL;DR: His alleged instragram account shows him in a Trump hat and is being spread around the internet. The slimier parts of the far right sphere are bending over backwards to somehow tie him to the Left(tm) in response. Everything sucks and we are a failure as species.

I'm seriously interested in where his parents are. You don't end up that way in a vacuum and you don't have a small armory in your bedroom without your parents noticing. If his problems were so evident that even the students at school figured he would shoot up the school one day then there's no way one or both parents or whomever his guardian(s) are did not see signs.

I guess he didn't read the sign when he entered the gun-free zone, I am sure the next shooter will read it and stop their shooting spree.

I really wonder how it is to have a mind like yours and get the conclusions you come to. Its like you was following all the signs then at the last moment you decided fuck it and went completely the wrong direction.

If a 19 year old is able to get his hands on weapons as easily as he is with as many "warning signs" as he had then you have bigger problems than a "gun free zone"

It seems to be his calling in life. You get use to it after a while.

He Posted Photos of Guns & Knives on Instagram, Calling His Weapons an ‘Arsenal’ & Had a MAGA Hat on in His Profile Picture

In 2015, he posted a screenshot of a Google search for the phrase, “what does allahu akbar.” He then wrote a caption that included an anti-Muslim slur, “Well at least we now know what it means when a sand durka says “allahu Akbar” ??????” While some have been using that post to claim that he was pro-ISIS or supporter of Islamic terrorism, comments he made on the Instagram post indicated he wanted to kill terrorists and made jokes about terrorism.

“Durka durka Mohamed jihad .. how do I work this oh oh I mess up cooo booom!!” he wrote. He then added, “durka durka … bam boom explosions,” with a series of bomb smilies.

Honestly he sounds like a guy that both of you would love, especially you AnimeSK, but by all means keep trying to play the blame game.

Edit: apologies, I dont know how to resize that but it's relevant.

First I have heard of Cruz being associated with the Alt-Right, I have been seeing Antifa, maybe its the news sources I follow. So what would be a good way to move forward? Ban guns? Ban "assault weapons"? The Assault Weapons ban in the 1990s had little effect on crime. Ok,so lets ban all guns, who is going to help get the estimated 300 million in the hands of roughly 100 million people, many of whom would rather kill than give up their guns? me personally I think it is a cultural issue not a mental health or gun issue, and no I don't know how to fix it.

I believe he was adopted and at least 1/2 of his adoption parents died, not double checking. How does a kid afford a small arsenal guns are expensive. Ontop of that he already got suspended and was banned from entering that school. SO many warning signs not to mention liking ISIS groups which is a code "CALL THE FBI" flag.

I just seen an article about a nosy grandma catching her grandson planning something stupid and reporting it: http://archive.is/gr0GP

Gun free zones are a failed policy that costs the lives of innocent children each year. It has not stopped a single incident and merely encourages shooters by guaranteeing them complete safety for XX Minutes till the police show up, prepare, then actually help. There is not one benefit to gun free zones besides a delusion that guns or bombs cannot enter it. Train willing teachers how to protect their children instead of just asking them to jump infront of a weapon hopelessly.

I know the ROE I was trained on for an active shooter was get a rifle and confront them if you are first on scene hope that backup is close. it's not a good feeling even in training.
