I have been eagerly anticipating this show, but it will be awhile before I get to it since I'm waiting for the right time to subscribe. Most likely, it will be next week when A.I.C.O. comes out.

Just powered through this show and.... it's simply okay.

7/10. Would've been 6/10 if it weren't for the really high quality animation.

EDIT: Last scene seems to be a sequel bating. Maybe this is why Netflix formed an alliance with Production IG. If that's the case we'll see if AICO has a sequel bating final scene.

Three episodes in and it's a pretty wild ride so far. So much stuff happening. Methinks I'm going to enjoy getting through this one.

"Let's fuse Death Note with Tokyo Ghoul! What could possibly go wrong with that combination?"

A lot actually...I'm actually kinda speechless how shameless it all is.

Considering how many shows have visited this kind of place before and completely crashed and burned, I'm more than with content with what this all amounted to.

The first episode felt like a mash of several different genres, and none of them really meshed all that well together. The crime-scene investigation angle shifts immediately from mystery to a drama with no apparent stakes, the chase sequence blurs the lines heavily between what's supposed to be the police and the military, and the villains are so grossly out of place with the setting it's like they were ripped straight from another genre altogether. And about the only motivation the audience is really given to keep caring what the broad archetype characters are doing is the 'mysterious' investigator unwittingly putting himself into inevitable conflict with the villains and the kid. Pretty art and animation, but I'm not sure I care enough to watch a second episode.

Finished it. I'm enjoy it. First few episodes are pretty confused and I didn't know what the heck is happening, but all get explained as the show going on.

I had mixed feelings on this anime overall but found it watchable and somewhat entertaining thriller. While I like the ideas of it, I didn't find the majority of the character appealing and their characterization didn't impress me much. Also too much emphasis on Yuna on some of the later episodes.

It took me 4 days to marathon this since I wasn't really hooked in the beginning but some of the mid episodes drew a lot of my attention in.

On the technical front, I really enjoyed the music in particular the theme songs. The character designs also stood out for me with the maturity. 6/10.
