Which high revenue blockbuster franchise would you most want to see turned into an anime?

Personally, I think while all of them would be interesting as anime, the one out of them all would definitely be Star Wars.

Although I think Harry Potter could be good as an anime, if it was given the right amount of character development.

Out of the listed Harry Potter would be the one I'd be the most comfortable with. Likely by virtue of me not having a deep attachment to the movies as opposed to the others, I actually hate it when things I like get a new adaption because it's not going to live up to my expectations.

Other things I'd like to see an anime adaption of are The Usual Suspects (not a series) and King's Dark Tower books(not a movie series. And the movie was sub-par to begin with. This one is going to remain a pipe dream, they just don't make series with the amount of episodes necessary to do the books justice these days.)

in truth none of those, so I guess Star Wars. in all honesty, I've seen variations already in animation, such as lord of the rings, before it became live action. and I've seen various plugs of blockbusters in animation. what of some of the true legends and masterpieces such as: The Thing, They Live, the original IT not the remake, or even Unusual Suspects or Reservoir Dogs? or even Pulp Fiction... we've been blessed with x-men, ironman, doctor strange, hulk and more into animation, it's only a matter of time before they bring even more I'm sure.

I think a HP series if done as a serialized miniseries could be a lot better than the films themselves. Although even a live action miniseries could be better. The films were all just way too different and some of the changes they made were unnecessary.

A HP anime could be great imo.

I wonder whats the comparison of costs between using CGI vs animating is.

An HP anime could be good though and I'm sure Warner Bros and JK Rowling would make a ton of money.

Seriously, why is Harry Potter in the lead? Pretty much every magic-high school anime is a copy of Harry Potter, which isn't hyperbole since Harry Potter was HUGE in Japan and magic-high school anime didn't start to appear until immediately after it premiered. Point being, to want to adapt Harry Potter into an anime would mean you want yet another magic-high school anime; wouldn't you want to try something a little different that would actually benefit from having an animated adaptation of it?

Seeing that anime mostly features teens that Harry Potter would be the most fitting choice here. After all, the whole school of wizardry trope has been overplayed by now in large part because of Harry Potter, so I would like to see how he ad his fellow wizards would look being animated in Japan.

Any horror would be nice, maybe The Others?
