It was not a British dictatorship. From my understanding of the series Britain gained independence from the Britannian Empire and formed a republic in union with other European states. It would be more accurate to call it an American dictatorship, even if they did take the name Brittanian.

My understanding of how things evolved in this world was that in this world, there was either never a U.S. revolution, or it failed, and at a later time (possibly during the war with France under Napolean), the British isles were lost, and royalty fled to North America, establishing the new seat of the empire there.

My take on it was that it was a reverse of the American Revolution. America stayed loyal to the crown but Britain rose up and declared independence.

It has been a few years since I watched the show but I think it was said the change in continents was a voluntary move.

I've heard lots of hate for Masamune Makabe, and Masamune-kun's Revenge in general, but he's such a lovable character. He tries so hard to act like an arrogant asshole, but on the inside he's still a timid little fat kid and I think he's adorable

Two characters comes to my mind.

Autarch Scolar Visari and Colonel Mael Radec.

They don't deserve what happened to them.

Orihime, Chad, and Ishida throughout the Soul Society arc in Bleach.

They had to be outright taken out of the spotlight and made useless to Ichigo's quest to rescue Rukia. So instead, most of Ichigo's more resourceful companions had to come from half of the Gotei 13, including Renji Abarai, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Kenpachi Zaraki, those two captains who fought their elderly commanding officer, Yoruichi Shihoin etc.

So why bring Orihime, Chad, and Ishida if they were going to be replaced by half of the Gotei 13?

In some ways. BTW, this discussion is about anime, not game. I don't mean anything bad by it.

Super AIDS, mind you. I assume because the author really had his heart set on AIDS but didn't Google it till after he wrote manuscript.

Lol what in this post triggered someone to report it? If I was a Mod I would be annoyed at the person who reported... Been years since I saw the Rosario part but I remember bits and pieces. Did they say it was aids? For some reason in my mind it was Lukemia... idk

I watched it in dub format at Hulu about 6 weeks ago, and it was definitely stated as AIDS.

Kirito (Sword Art Online)

Is in the doesn’t derserve the hate category. Not only is he just a nice guy but people completely ignore the fact that he does have depth and development...His character flaws have consequences and everything and he learns from them. He has an actual personality and isn’t a blank slate MC or anything. I don’t even like him but I don’t understand how people could hate a character by proclaiming they don’t have something that they clearly do. (Same goes for Asuna).

In the original novel, Kirito is very much a deeply developed and excellent character, as is Asuna, and they shared a strong bond and romance. Author caved to pressure after the success of the original work and essentially rewrote the it as SAO: Progressive, taking an excellent and well developed romance, adding in a bunch of silly side-stories and additional "heroines", and turning it into basic harem romcom nonsense. THAT is what became the anime.

Kirito's problem is he's a Gary Stu and that's why he gets all the rather deserved flake he does. He has few real flaws, little character development, is always the "chosen one" or otherwise special somehow and amasses a harem of female followers simply because he exists. Other characters are always in amazement at how super awesome he is and any consequences that come his way tend to get brushed aside by a deus ex machina. With the pinnacle proverbial middle finger of the first season being that when it came down to brass tax Kirito was not actually subject to the same rules as everyone else was in SAO and thus was essentially never in any danger.

Read what I posted above. In the original work, he wasn't. That's the anime/rewritten version you're talking about.

This is incorrect. Progressive is expanding the Aincrad Arc by filling in the timeskips and was published after the anime began airing. It's Progressive that actually expands on Kirito x Asuna and occurred because of the truncated nature of the original LNs and the anime in regards to the Aincrad Arc. The author wasn't happy with how much he had to skip in the original LNs and is going back to fill in the full story of the Aincrad Arc. He's even pushing for the Progressive to be adapted as a new anime that fully covers the intended story of the Aincard Arc.

So you kind of have it backwards.
