I have just finished watching Game of Thrones and am just craving some anime recommendations on specifically where the main character or characters either most or all die in the end of the anime. I would like a change of pace from the everyone makes it out alive trope. The anime I want to watch don't need to be specifically about kings & queens and a fantasy settings. Anything where I can sit back and watch the body count rise. Hope it's not a strange request.

It's only strange insofar as knowing what you're in for takes away part of the fun. I'll admit this kind of request doesn't come up often so I don't have a list handy but I might remember some titles that may fit the bill.

/akame-ga-kill is going to cull its cast.

/magical-girl-raising-project seems like your kind of magical girl show and you can't mention that without bringing up /puella-magi-madoka-magica.

As a SMT adaption /devil-survivor-2-the-animation isn't afraid to kill its cast

Then there's /fatezero that, as far as I remember, ended up killing a bunch of characters I loved (to hate, in some cases).

I'd throw in Berserk for its body count but I grew up on the manga, (and may have seen one of the old movies) the 2016 series that is on CR wasn't that stellar in my opinion.

I feel like there's another title I should be able to mention...
ah yes, there's the violent trainwreck that is /gantz

Not really much like GOT, but if you want to see a lot of death, you could try Inuyashiki...It's not on CR, though.

Hmmm... it's not really an odd request at all but it does sort of beg the question of whether knowing that not everyone is going to survive is sort of already spoiling yourself on the series.

Anywho, Magical Girl Raising Project is a pretty good one. Sadly, It telegraphs the deaths in advance like far too many shows like this seem to, but it's still a "fun" ride to see how it all goes down.

I already seen king's game and JUNI TAISEN in the past as an example of what I want, as I forgot to mention. Anime like that its already implied on its death count. But thanks everyone for the suggestions.

There's Samurai 7 (http://www.crunchyroll.com/samurai-7) based on Kurosawa's movie)

There's also Basilisk (the first series, I don't know about the second since I haven't seen that one)
