i noticed in alot of anime, when the 2nd season or part is close, they have a new opening and imo they suck.
for example. one piece and naruto has a crap load of songs. i only like two or three ans always play those and mute the video for the episode. same from dragon ball z. some animes have a good 2nd or more opening but alot just suck and dont have the same love and effort yo make you wana watch it

This certainly isn't true of all anime, but a recent good example of this is the opening for the 2nd Season of Magus Bride. It's not terrible, but it's nothing compared to the first season's.

perhaps

DRRR probably has one of the best OP and ED and that stands through the entire series. Every change is something new and exciting.

I'm pretty sure a lot goes into just the OP alone, the ED is usually simpler when closing an episode.

You have to really look at it from the animes point of view, not what you think you enjoy.

Sure we can say thats a bad OP or ED, and there are a few that will be bad, but given the approach to the anime itself, you can really only enjoy something if you really took the time to notice something was worth your time.

or its just a bad song you cant really fix that.

This is true quite often, but occasionally the reverse is true.

No, it's usually because you get used to the first opening, so when the second one comes and it catches you out. Give it a few episodes and you'll gradually get to accept it.

I don’t even take openings that serious. I’m here for the show.

It is 90% this. You have a honeymoon period with the show while listening and watching the opening for hints multiple times.

By season 2, the first OP epitomizes everything you liked about the show to that point. You also no longer feel the need to watch the second OP as often because you know the characters ... and you've already decided you don't like the music as much as the first one. Because how could anything replace that first one?

The studio wouldn't intentionally commission a song they have the luxury of revising multiple times -- often with big name bands -- and make a technically inferior piece.

Undoubtedly it happens sometimes.

But shows are really under no constraint to introduce new OPs at all aside from fan demand for new music (or related to selling OSTs). Hunter x Hunter 2011 used the exact same track EDIT: something like 60 episodes, then they just Side B'd it. I didn't like the OP at first but after enough repetition and watching the OP backgrounds (which did change) now I like it.
