Available on PC and PS4 this week. Some reviews are out for this game already and there's also DLC coming in the future.

Plot

Set hundreds of years after the events of Wrath of the White Witch, Revenant Kingdom features the cat and mouse tribes, two warring factions in the town of Ding Dong Dell. During the events of the game, the mouse tribe performed a coup d'état, taking control of the kingdom.[5] The story follows Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, a boy king of the cat tribe, who is usurped from his castle and sets out to reclaim his kingdom. He is aided by Roland, a visitor from another world, and Tani, the daughter of the boss of air pirates.

I hear they're not really related, but I still wanna finish the first one before playing this one. I got bored about 6-7 hours into the first so I'll try to stick with this time.

This one looks pretty great so far.

Got this today and played for about 3-4 hours. So far, I like it a lot- it looks gorgeous. it's fun and full of charm..... but it's too easy. Seriously- it's way too easy. Hopefully things will ramp up later on, but I've yet to feel any kind of tension from in any battles so far- including big dramatic boss fights, which is a little dissapointing.

Yes, from what I hear not even video game journalists are having difficulty.

Perhaps they'll offer a "Hard Mode" patch at some point that adjusts game balance. The lack of challenge in combat does seem to be one of the game's main complaints.

Yeah- if you're looking for a challenge, this isn't it. Not that there aren't a few difficult bits here and there- depending on your level of course- but in general it's an easy, if fun, game.

I bought the Prince edition yesterday lol.

Going to give it a try anyway considering I like RPG fantasy games. I hope they add a hard mode soon.

Aside from how faceroll the game is and the lack of voiced lines, I'm quite enjoying my playthrough so far.

Kingdom management isn't too bad.... I was kind of hoping it would be a bit more like Dark Cloud/Chronicle though? Like, where you could position buildings manually and such. So far it feels a little too 'just spend money to make things happen'.
Still, enjoying the game a lot so far- Tani's probably my fav character so far.... Just got a little ways into chapter 5 and she made me lol at a certain scene. (You'll know it when you get there )

About 18 hours in this game now.

I like the kingdom management so far. It's important to do research first because those take time. I think I do about one check-in every single time I finish a side quest or main quest. The profit adds up fast once you get everything set up. I'm not too impressed by the offers from the stores although I've only began upgrading those.

On the other hand, it's really nice to see how diverse the kingdom is with all sort of facilities.

Hopefully the DLC adds more to the kingdom in the future. I think there are over 100+ citizens to recruit in the game?

Edit: Up to 1 million influence now

I finally bought it. Not the regular one, but King's Edition and... damn, is it enormous. The biggest collector's edition i own. It also comes with... postcards? Yeah.

Anyway, i guess this will be the next game i'm going to play. As soon as i get Sonic Mania Plus done.
