I finished watching it today. All four episodes ultimatately tied together the conclusion of the main story and it highlighted the relationship + connection of Hishiro and Kaziaki. I basically tied the development from the start and wrapped it up in a satisfying (although somewhat predictable) way.

The date, festival, comedy, etc also had its charming moments.

Kinda expected the comedy to be adapted straight into these episodes again too.

Overall, I'd say I'm pretty satisfied from these OVA episodes. Yes, I would of preferred a full season but these episodes lived up to my expectations.

Glad to see they concluded the anime. Generally I would rather see a proper conclusion to an anime rather than it be left in limbo forever, I also prefer that if a conclusion is made to a series it is done over another season instead of OVAs but nonetheless I'm glad this series got a conclusion for its anime.

Pretty good job, considering they were covering more chapters in the OVA than they did in the first season. The ending was a bit rushed, but it was in the webcomic as well. I could've stood a more ambiguous ending.

Nearly all episodes feels rushed but I'm okay with that. And I kinda knew where Arata wanted to go to even without manga or anime. Good for him.

These final episodes lived up to my expectations, maybe the ending was kind of rushed but it's ok, happy endings make me cry, and with ReLife i cried a lot.

Is the manga recommended?

I was definently satisfied with the ending, but i agree it was somewhat rushed, but sure it was predictable, but i for one crused the screen when it looked like they would for ever be apart!.

I would have liked seeing how the other kids from the high school had adapted into their college life though.

I am a bit disappointed they couldn't have made it 5 episodes so they could fit the full ending in their. Or at least extended the episode a bit so they could show the full last 3 chapters.

Huh.. well, they did the extra episodes pretty much exactly as I hoped they would do them and I really didn't think they would. Good stuff. they definitely felt very rushed but that was to be expected given the amount of content they had to cover. It was really nice to see that final scene animated. All told, I wish more series did this rather than just leaving the anime version hanging in limbo. If you're not going to be able to do a complete second/third/etc. season then a sort of "greatest hits" set of episodes is a pretty good idea.

That's sort of a tough call. The anime version, particularly these extra episodes, feels very rushed. There are a whole bunch of time skips and edited content. That said, there are a lot of parts of the manga that just absolutely, mind numbingly dragged on forever and they, thankfully, cut all of that here. The overall arc of the story, including the ending, is pretty much exactly the same in the anime now as in the manga. I guess it really just depends on whether you want a longer and deeper version of exactly the same story.

Fantastic ending to this series. I completely forgot about it until these episodes surfaced. Even though I completely saw the ending coming, that didn't make it any less fantastic. Nearly teared up.

The hugeness of the middle finger to makoto shinkai.

If this was a movie, I would watch again.
