You know when they announced this was only going to be 4 episodes, I knew that a lot was going to get cut since it's at least another +100 chapters from where the anime ended and where the manga ended, but to honest I didn't expect them to cut this much. I'll agree that these episodes are rushed, but with the limited episode quantity, what could you do. I'm not sure if another full 12 episode season would of been better since a majority of those +100 chapters that weren't adapted was about an arc that dragged for too long and no one liked. Glad both the anime and web comic have pretty much the same happy ending although I will say the web comic did it better.

If you are interested in reading the web comic, season 1 ends around chapter 108 or near there. Personally I would recommend reading it from chapter 1, but whatever.

I just finished rewatching the series, and now the OVA. I think that they did a really great job on it.

That's sort of a tough call. The anime version, particularly these extra episodes, feels very rushed. There are a whole bunch of time skips and edited content. That said, there are a lot of parts of the manga that just absolutely, mind numbingly dragged on forever and they, thankfully, cut all of that here. The overall arc of the story, including the ending, is pretty much exactly the same in the anime now as in the manga. I guess it really just depends on whether you want a longer and deeper version of exactly the same story.

This might be a case where binging (the comic) works against you.

I read the series as it was being released, week by week and it didn't help the problem parts any. In fact, I'd actually say that bingeing now that it's all out there would probably be better as it would let you just skim through the bad parts and focus on the good.

Went in raging expecting not to be satisfied by ending esp as I saw credits rolling by but this anime went out giving me both a sense of satisfaction and warmth. I genuinely have only good things to say about this anime and yeah we needed a second season but props to Crunchyroll for getting us the OVAs and the finale, rusted or not it was worth the wait.

I kept expecting the memory wipe to be a lie, and they had to go and do a couple of loops to make things work out anyway. I was starting to get super pissed in the last episode, and kinda dulled that final payoff. Still, nice to see the relationship come together.

I really liked the way they ended the show.

I liked the idea that strong emotions could overwhelm any artificial mind control, and also that the final scene reinforced how deeply they'd felt about each other the whole time in ReLife.

I also liked that in the final act their handlers conspired to leave clues about their past and helped arrange for them to meet up in adult life.

That is actually one area where the edits to save time/space really did change the thrust of the story from the manga. Not that the ending is different but the edits they made here alleviated much of the original tension.

I managed to miss the original release for some reason and when the OVA's popped up I decided to give it a shot. I can't read the Manga as Crunchroll's manga selection for my region is worse than useless.

I knocked over the whole thing, full season + OVAs yesterday and I'm glad I didn't watch this the first time around. I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to recover without the OVA closure.

I'm really glad the show ended like it did, I was fully expecting the pair to never reconnect. Once 001 was revealed to be Hiroshin I knew that their relationship on return to normal life was in the hands of the support team and while both An and Ryo seemed to be on side there was never any hint, that I spotted, that they would be helping. Despite the fact that after the year was over simply telling them and placing them in the same company would solve that whole problem.

If the project really was to help NEETs become proper members of society then having two fall in love in-program seemed like the best result for the government. Two people back on their feet, working and paying taxes and potentially starting a family. With all the mystery I wasn't sure if this was just a project to turn "rebels and misfits" back into corporate drones.

Fortunately, in my opinion, the story stayed as a love story and I suspect the oddly ad-hoc system of getting Arata and Hiroshin together was down to lack that being the first time two re-lifers were at the same place at the same time and interacting.

Overall I really enjoyed the show, will watch again at some point and will happily hit up another season if they decide to make a new story. The whole concept has a fairly limitless pool of potential stories in it.

Just finished the OVA. Overall, this show really surprised me. I was expecting a fairly shallow comedy and it turned out to be a really damn good romance. As someone who didn't read the manga, I didn't think that it felt all that rushed. I'm sure they cut out a lot, but the way things were handled in the show felt fairly smooth and natural and while I'd always like to see more epilogue, the ending still felt tremendously satisfying.
