It's not some super smart country YES you are right.

Though you have to consider that because of the monetary incentive the USA( though the H1B, or the genius visa) is draining all of the top minds of the world and bringing them into our companies, our hospitals, our research organizations.

This in turn leads to advancements that could of occurred in other countries being found out in the USA instead.

If it wasn't for the H1B there would be no silicon valley, there would be no google. There would be nothing in the USA besides some cool looking rocks and trees.

Basically this.

Also, according to Mensa's data Finland has the most geniuses per capita.

We are always poised to nuke ourselves. Many of us are intelligent; however, I really doubt that there are any wise ones amongst us.

I think many of us are wise in some areas but not in others, so some are wise in areas but not many are truly wise.
Things like politics, political correctness, main stream media propaganda, etc prevent many from being wise. I mean being politically correct seems to be more important to many than having common sense or logic or facing reality. More important to many than thinking about their own and their children's own futures. A failure to learn from example and learn from history, etc.
EDIT: They may be intelligent and educated, but that dose not make them wise, so yeah, i agree with what you said.

I dunno the U.S does so much things that we all laugh at..........i'm not sure you can say the U.S is superior in intelligence.

Apart from the odd history of Serious Sam, I find it pretty reasonable. Personally I think Japan is pretty good too, but they are at a population disadvantage

A lot of places do things US can't china in the Genetic editing phase etc the U.S is not some super smart country in comparison to the rest that's a delusion it's no better then most countries.

I do not deny that but how fred was going about it is stupid.

The reason the U.S makes these advancements is Size and Money as you said.

As I have recently look into the ideas of nanorobot and mind decode. I would say that U.S has the best understanding of physics implementation and machinery.

For instance,

1. Having know the ions channel in the brain and the unbalance of ions distribution, the U.S would speculate the presence of an electric field.
2. If not other countries would not be able to make such speculation until such field is measured, I speculate a static electricity although I do not understand it myself.

Is this the difference in understanding or education? I've always admired the one that out smarts me

To say the U.S has the best understandings would imply you know the best understandings and can compare.

person below you was right on as to why America has more advancements coming out the funding for it is there and people move there.

People will always congregate America has the right set up for people to research more easily hence why more advancements come out.
Many of the people on the teams behind a ton of research come from other countries people will always gather.

Just like Stand users attract other stand users in JoJo Smart people attract other Smart people the effect grows.

It doesn't mean America as a country is smarter per say just it's a great place with the opportunity to study.

These things could easily change.

A lack of ethics and regulatory boards should not be synonymous with intelligence.

Yes that is correct but more advancements coming out from a country then others should not be synonymous with intelligence either it's ignoring the reasons as to why this happens.

But a lack of ethics is good in science some times intelligent men can't do great work because of ethics and regulations.
That being said.....i ain't saying we should throw out either but each country has great men America just has the right situation for advancements to come out of it.

This could all change.

EDIT: Germany and or Japan could have have won the war(s) as well. (superior technology and military might) just some poor decision making and bad luck. But i guess there was the A bombs and all so perhaps not, but yeah. Germany was way ahead of the rest of the world. At least as far as their tanks and air force and etc.

This, I forgot where I read it, but the Axis powers were also really close to creating their own atomic bomb too.

Sorry. I like to look at trees and swim in beautiful lakes.

It's nice to have technology, but it's even better sharing the land with one another.

Smart people live off the land, not destroy it.

Hmm that's kind of debatable. I mean it makes some sense. But its kind of an out dated way of thinking. I mean who really lives off of the land? Africans? Chinese peasants? Buddhist monks?

Whether you like it or not.

The fruit you eat, the vegetables you eat, the meat you eat, the spices you buy, the water you drink.

All from the land.

I simply suggest not nuking an entire piece of fucking land to completely wipe it off the face of the earth as not being habital while showing off how large our ballsacks are.

Outdated? You live off of the land everyday. People vacation to places where everything is beautiful and peaceful. People retire and live their days away from congestion and pollution.

Joining society is great and all, and technology is fantastic. But the grass is always greener on the other side

My comment had nothing to do with whether i like anything or not.

Well yeah, of course. Technically you could say we live of the land because we eat those things, but we also enjoy the comforts of technology and we eat lots of mass produced processed food and use microwaves and etc. I work in a food manufacturing/producing place, creating food that is a perfect example of food that i wouldn't consider living off the land (meant pies, sausage rolls, pasties, etc).

Yeah, not nuking would be good. But as far as going back to the old ways of what i would consider "living off the land" it will probably never happen unless there is war of mass scale and the human population is reduced dramatically. Unless it ends the world of course.

I guess i wouldn't know. I've never lived on a farm or in a small community/rural area/village where everything is home grown and home produced.
Even in my country, where we have endless fruit and seafood and etc, we import crap from over seas and eat loads of fast food and other mass produced processed food.

My Anime Bro look no further than Cuba where just about every household is self sufficient in their food productions. They got their own mini all you can grow gardens in every house hold that helped tide them over during tough times of embargo. Not saying a lot of them didn't suffer or go hungry but they learned to adapt to a world that no longer supplied them with instant food supplies.

If that sort of situation ever happens on a large scale worldwide you can expect us to revert to our old adaption strategies.

What would that be?

The nuking, or the basic necessities of life come from the earth?
