For those who haven't caught on to that picture above about Special Week talking on the telephone - Her ears are on the top of her head so she is holding the receiver up there.

Let people have their fun. I'm biting my tounge so hard right now that it's going to take a crack team of surgeons to sew it back together again.

As a few have said about the trainer being creepy I would have to disagree. It's obvious that he doesn't acknowledge the girls as being human with animal features but as full on animals that can talk.

this seems fine. cute girls, good seiyus, and it's a decent balance of generic and unique. i'll watch it if it.

This show is so dumb...and I loved every minute of it. The art is great, the characters are adorable, the seiyuu are great, the music sounds good so far, they actually have a in universe logical rationale for everything (why no boys? because they are also idols), no gratuitous fan service, and like the above picture shows the little touches were too funny (I love their shoes) People really need to lighten up, there is lots of bad anime out there, this isn't one of them. Sit back and enjoy. Also let the jokes begin, I really hope none of these girls breaks a leg LOL

That kinda makes the whole situation a lot worse.

Pretty normal behavior for a horse trainer I'd say, notice her concern was him lying to her. Also another good reason there are only girl horses or else we'd get the trainers having to do sheath cleaning, it's real Google it

Well...

On a separate point, the school motto is interesting:

"Eclipse first,
the rest nowhere."

I'd interpret that as, "if you don't win you won't be noticed - strive for victory." Quite a brutal motto, when you think about it, but a fair representation of the world of racing.

Don't blame Special Week for not understanding it though, doesn't really make sense...

Another way of phrasing it would be, "The person who comes in first eclipses those behind. The rest are as good as nowhere."

The motto appears to be written in the same form as some Japanese poetry but trying to use the English language to do the same job. It doesn't quite work as it is an unusual structure for English.

I enjoyed both episodes, don't think it's as bad as some of the earlier post would make it out to be. Stupid? Sure, but horrible? Don't really see it. I don't mind the idol stuff (since I'm an idolshitter), but I feel that it's unnecessary for this series. I think this series would of just worked fine as famous horses turned into cute anime girls and have races. Maybe we'll get some decent songs.

Eclipse was a famous 18th century race horse who was unbeaten and is a part of the pedigree of about 95% of thoroughbred horses today. He won a race 240 yards ahead of his competition in the 2nd heat of his debut which, in horse racing terms, means the rest of the horses are nowhere, as in nowhere close to winning. So, the motto is really about being reaching for that dominance and going above and beyond to stake your claim as the very best runner, basically. It serves to drive in the point of it being a very prestigious school with a zero tolerance policy for failure.
