Prologue & Episode 1

The prologue is about the champion Kyoya Kujo in the finals going against Rommel who is a furry character. The match was pretty cool as we see both teams go at it but in the end there is only one winner and that is of corse Kyoya Kujo the champ. However in the crowd the main character's Riku and best friend Yukio watched the matched.

Episode 1

In the first episode we get properly introduced to Riku and Yukio who attend middle school and we see them play a game of soccer. We even get to introduced to Momoka who will be this series China or Fumina? Momoka asked them both to join the soccer team but refuse because they are more interested in gunpla and decide to make one. While looking around Riku decides to make the 00 gundam and Yukio picks GM III. We get also introduced to Nanami who will be this series Rinko or Mirai. Anyways after building their gunpla they both dive into the gundam battle nexus and meet Maggie who helps new players get started. Maggie guides Riku and Yukio through a tutorial battle and after the trial they get a distress call and head out to investigate only to find a unconscious girl.

They also happen to meet another player who turns out to be a rookie hunter and tricks Riku into entering a free battle with him. Riku and Yukio are both surprised by the attack and almost lose but the girl encourages Riku and he is able to beat the hunter. However when they reunite with Maggie the girl is gone. Once they return to the real world both boys tell Nanami how excited they are to play more gunpla battles. Well the first episode wasn't that bad and it feels a little like Yugioh Vrains. I wonder if this has any ties to the first two Build Fighters? I wouldn't be surprised if the girl turns out to be Reji's and Aila's daughter.

Episode 2

Riku and Yukki have befriended Sarah, and Sarah tells Riku not to use Trans-Am. And when he battles Hellfire Ogre, he ups the ante leading Riku to use is and finds out why Sarah was right as it's too powerful for a newbie to control. He nearly loses it, but Sarah snapped him back to his senses. Well, that continues to follow the formula of a typical kids show as Riku gets the urge to go overboard, and finds out he's playing with fire there. Nevertheless, it was cute to see Sarah acting the way she did, and now Riku has Hellfire Ogre on his mind that will motivate him to be good enough to control the Trans-Am.

If you like the idea of virtual reality Gundam battles, be sure to see "Ready, Player One", since it has a section with a virtual reality Gundam fighting a virtual reality Mecha-Godzilla.

It's my favorite scene of all time in the movie, you should of heard the cheers in the movie theater from us anime fans, it was a site to behold.

In the past season of Gundam Builders, doesn't transam mess up your gundams performance? Seems like you can have fun exploring the world without a gundam, get to see the world. I wonder who Sarah really is. Those Zaft uniforms

So episode two left me a little disappointed to be honest. I am still having a hard time getting excited about the MC or the Exia. I know they will both go through changes as the series goes on, but right now just very blah.

I can't really put my finger on it, but so far this series is missing the charm if it's predecessor series. The animation and music aren't nearly as good either. I'm really wondering if this is just a filler series after all the work they put into IBO and LLS.

I still plan to watch this just because I am a Gundam fan. I am a bit more intrigued by the VR setting they are in and whatever kind of mystery we have behind Sara.

Watching the antics of Momo, their classmate, has been one of the few bright parts so far, albeit brief. I look forward to her in-game persona and I am sure she will have a whacky MS to match

Now I will say that I really dug the Red Ogre GN-X suit of the Ogre dude. Nice to see them take a grunt suit from an oft not-seen movie and modify it into be a legit badass mobile suit. I love when they do that kind of stuff. Like with the Zaku Amazing from the first Gundam Builders.

Anyways, I hope ep. 3 will be that "turning point" that most anime make around this time and get me more interested.

Apologies, Yam. CR did not alert me to the mention.

But yes! I can help answer mecha-spotting questions, though the focus here seems to be on more recent Gundam series (as opposed to Build Fighters). Forgive me for saying so, but the 00 variants all look kind of same-y to me, really.

To those who use GN Drives: I don't know whether you will carry my will, however I entrust you my final hope to you, full utilization of your GN Drives. I hope that you will use them and fight your hardest for the sake of ending war and bringing about a new peace. Not for the sake of Celestial Being, but for the sake of your own wills, as those who have Gundams.

No! you're exactly right... That's a great way to say it. I'm just personally a bit bored of this series now giving the MC's and strong opponents, Strike, Wing, and Exia Variants.

I think honestly my favorite MS in the whole series so far was the Kampfer Amazing. And it was probably the least modified of it's original design.

I did really respect the DOM prototypes from Ep. 2 though. The DOM has always been a favorite of mine.

MUCH better episode this time. A lot more fun, actions and modded suits and character avatars.

The story/plot is picking up quite fast while still leaving lots of bread crumbs.

You can definitely tell this show is being targeted at even younger fans than the previous two build fighters series, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Episode 3

And Kyoya meets Riku as he approaches them as a masked man. But when things go wrong and monsters too much for beginners start appearing in beginner areas, he reveals his identity as the champion and part of the task force to investigate and put a stop to these anomalies. Things sure picked up here as Momoka is now playing, all while Riku has met his idol and is determined to beat him. While it is pretty typical of a kids show, it still solid popcorn entertainment.

I'm enjoying the Easter eggs and references to other Gundam shows and fandom.

In episode 2 the 3 Doms (which looked awesome BTW) mimicking the Black Tri Stars was cool. They were even taken out in a similar fashion.

Episode 3 when they were battling in the city was obviously Tokyo. But when they were at the rest area I recognized they were at Akihabara. More specifically outside the train station where the actual real life Gundam Cafe' happens to be. They briefly flashed the logo. I went there once but I didn't eat inside. I hear the food is overpriced and not very good. But the Gundam sweet bean cakes were tasty. It was cool because I was saying to myself with a smile "I've been there."

So basically the main character just needs a higher rank to use special moves and abilities. FACEPALM.
