Plot Summary

Two years have passed since the CCG's raid on Anteiku. Although the atmosphere in Tokyo has changed drastically due to the increased influence of the CCG, ghouls continue to pose a problem as they have begun taking caution, especially the terrorist organization Aogiri Tree, who acknowledge the CCG's growing threat to their existence.

The creation of a special team, known as the Quinx Squad, may provide the CCG with the push they need to exterminate Tokyo's unwanted residents. As humans who have undergone surgery in order to make use of the special abilities of ghouls, they participate in operations to eradicate the dangerous creatures. The leader of this group, Haise Sasaki, is a half-ghoul, half-human who has been trained by famed special class investigator, Kishou Arima. However, there's more to this young man than meets the eye, as unknown memories claw at his mind, slowly reminding him of the person he used to be.

And as you should all know by now, this isn't coming to Crunchyroll. It will be on Funimation Now and Hulu, and that is probably because of the terms of the original contract signed back in 2014 when the first season came out.

But this news says otherwise I think?

"We can confirm for you that you will be able to watch the series via a simulcast via our friends at Crunchyroll (...)"

Is there any news on when its coming to Crunchyroll yet? Lately (at least for me in UK) Crunchyroll have stopped posting release times/dates for their Simulcast shows.

I don't know why they still have a calendar if they won't list anything upcoming. The show aired in the US on Funimation over an hour ago now, but since Funimation don't own the rights for UK I can't watch it over there... A bit of a joke IMHO that Crunchyroll are silent about this...

It's going to be dubbed for the first few or so episodes, and at some point it will carry the usual delay.

I apologize for my ignorance. I have little idea as to that of distributors outside The United States, and was unable to search it up at the time.

Episode 1

Seeing that this season focuses on a new set of characters that it's pretty much all about introducing the new characters as they go on a case. Their assignment is to take down a ghoul known as Torso who, as his name implies, rips off the torsos of his victims. He is a taxi driver that Mutsuki, who is having a hard time tapping into his power. And then another ghoul comes in giving everybody a hard time before Haise comes to the rescue. This season has quite a different feel than the original series as it feels more of a police drama than a show with moral ambiguity. Nevertheless, I like what I have seen, and that ending, it's quite ironic.
