The OP song for this season imo is a big improvement compared to Tokyo Ghoul Root. (my favorite is still the very first season's though)

The episode didn't waste much time getting right into with character introductions. The familarity of the thrilling vibe also returns with this season. Felt like the episode is setting up for the rest of the season although I heard the series will be a 1-cour...

It's neat to see characters like Tooru, Sasaki, etc appear in this. I'm definitely feeling some of the psychology from this new series including parts wtih the action already.

Yes, I am prepared for a rushed season.

I don't see why Funimation would have this subbed over CR first. That makes no sense to me. So much for being partners with CR, Funi.

Wait where is it on Crunchyroll if it's subbed already on other sites? All I have heard is that they will have the dub

If you actually read some of the other responses you'd see that it's probably because of the original terms of the contract signed by Funimation in 2014 before they were partnered with Crunchyroll...

Well, AllTheAnime has said that it will be "Simulcasting to the UK & Ireland April 2018 at Crunchyroll", so I assume that's what the confusion is about since it still hasn't aired.

I haven't seen Tokyo Ghoul. I like dark fantasy (e.g., Made in Abyss), but I'm not a fan of too much gore/horror (e.g., Elfen Lied). What's the gore level in this?

So what's the deal with UK then? Is it going to be delayed on CR?

It's definitely more on the gory side. Characters can sustain major injuries, including amputation and mutilation. There's also the fact that they do eat people and body parts on screen. Though the first season made non judicious use of censoring, so you didn't really see the gore.

Now, I can still comfortably eat while watching/reading it, but I used to watch surgeries and animal dissections at lunch as a kid.

Sounds like this one might be hard pass. I'm vaguely intrigued now by the "eating body parts," but Tokyo Ghoul probably isn't for me. Ty.

Such bullshit. Oh well. This is only gonna be 12 episodes anyways so I expect a shitty adaptation like the last season. Better anime to focus on now.
