The true enemy is social media! Glad to have the gang back. Curious if Ami's going to be part of the group for just a few episodes or through the whole season. Definitely a brilliant hacker, but also developmentally lacking in other areas.

Lupin's Sleight of Hand is legendary:

Brilliant. I'm expecting it to be as good, if not better, than part 4.

And with what happened to the Fiat, I'm hoping the SSK or Alfa makes a comeback.

Oh, and it was nice to see Clarissa again.

EPISODE 2

The episode starts off from where it left off Lupin and his team trying to escape the "find Lupin the III game" at the airport and end up evading the police somehow with overwhelming odds. Lupin outsmarts the cops by...taking a vacation and the lead in his own game posting himself wherever he goes therefor causing the public to become bored of his own game. Pointing out that people aren't that interested in others lives all that much? But little did he know that another more deadly game has just started against Lupin, Daisuke Jigen, Goemon Ishikawa, and anyone who possible teams up with them after finding the run away Ami in a bad part of town. Can Lupin find his way out of this one?

Not sure I like Lupin having to constantly run from surveillance every minute of the show.. and this one doesn't look nearly as awesome as Part IV.

The ending is just classic though. It's like something out of an old Bond film (having watched my share of old Bond films). And that's what makes Lupin so great- he and his companions are timeless as they represent an ideal that's sadly gone out of style. I feel like his character design is the one thing dragging it down- it can't bring in new fans who just take one look and say "oh that's not a cute girl, so it's ugly" if only more people could check it out and see it in motion. It actually looks pretty good. Lupin himself isn't quite as cool looking as, say, Spike Spiegel but his personality is every bit as charming.

I have watched this series on and off. I find it hard to really get in to. I think the only thing that keeps me coming back to it is Fujiko Mine and Daisuke Jigen.

I really like this series' use of the dark side of the internet, something afaik not a part of other Lupin anime. A Lupin for our times, if you will.
This is my most anticipated anime each week.

They sure cranked up the sexiness and put a dark edge on things didn't they? On-screen killing and dismemberment. Child slave pornography.

In Ep 3 Ami made her second offer and explicitly said she was interested. I wish more anime could handle sex with this level of maturity.

I'm not sure I could have turned her down.

I didn't like part IV too much. But this one however, is the opposite. Good job so far.

Count me in among the group not enjoying this as much as Part IV. I don't like the visuals as much, don't like the Internet storyline and don't like the fact that this is supposed to be set in France but we're spending time in "Bwanda." Reference to kiddy porn, ugh. Well, at least Fujiko Mine has shown up.
