I posted this request originally to Megalo box episode 1 discussion thread on reddit so I'm just copy-paste it here, that's why I talk about Megalo box and mention ANN alongside CR in my message.

Good first episode but I've to go off-topic about something. ANN and Crunchyroll, etc. really should learn the difference between Scandinavia and the Nordic countries.

When it was announced yesterday that CR would simulcast this, I was bummed out but not surprised that it was available to Scandinavia (Denmark, Sweden, Norway), we Finns lose a lot of shows (Overlord and MHA, for example) but now I saw that I could watch it here in Finland, a non-Scandinavian country. This causes confusion around here because we can't be certain if it's available to us or not if CR (or ANN) says it's broadly available in Scandinavia. For example, just last season Overlord was also said to be available in Scandinavia but it wasn't in Finland but now megalo box is available in Scandinavia and in Finland. Causes confusion just a little bit.

So, my point is, ANN and CR and any other site who confuses these two terms, please say "Scandinavia" when a show is available in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Say "Nordic countries"/"the Nordics" if show's available in these 3 + Finland and Iceland. If it isn't available in some Nordic country (in megalo box's case it isn't available in Iceland), say "the Nordics excl. X". Or say all the countries one by one. Someone who knows someone at ANN or CR, could you forward this request to them?

So when you announce titles being available in place X in the future (remaining shows for spring 18 and then all shows from summer 18 onwards), could you remember this?

It seems there is some sort of never-ending linguistic debate regarding terminology, as to the status of Finland:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavia

Pardon our *American arrogance, on such rather "trivial" matters...

I couldn't edit the title but I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to CR. I would've added CR at the start if I could.

To us Nordics it's pretty simple and there's no debate.

My understanding is the language for how the territories are listed comes from the contract with the publisher in Japan.
