This is the worst thing I've seen this season.

I don't appreciate Mahou Shoujo Site's hedonistic misanthropy and is the equivalent to nazism, evil, hatred, or any anti humanitarianism in the world.

I also don't appreciate it's answer to bullying. "Hey kids, what do you do to your offenders when you're being victimized? You kill them." How disgusting

There is a difference between depicting an act and stating it as morally correct. Aya's action did lead to another's death, but it was an accident. With the the debut of the second female, a case could be stated, but I cannot say if that female speaks for the author anymore than Aya does.

I am sure what you refer to by hedonistic misanthropy. Are you implying the author is writing this novel purely to indulge in violent fantasies of retribution, or is it a general depiction of such?

It seems a bit too early to tell on just one episode.

I would also say that in the commission of some crimes, one is legally allowed in general to use self defense measures, including ones that can obviously result in death. Most often this applies to acts that would result great bodily harm or otherwise, including rape and violence. Though to clarify, this doesn't necessarily have any bearing with firearms laws, though it should be noted that Japan is incredibly conservative with regards to the death penalty and its possible abolition. To which I agree with the sentiment, I think using lethal force is proportional for the murder of the two earlier.

(But of course, this is fiction, and the idea of "self defense" may very well be a loose excuse to preclude more violence, no more than what Stephen King's Bachman Book Rage is, but covering my bases)

To edit, I won't say not follow your moral convictions and call you ignorant, but the opposite. I do think some due consideration and discussion can be had with regards to the circumstances of the world examined here, but I don't think it is wrong of you to argue based on your principles. I say this because I foretell this argument being used against you.

It seems interesting aside the over the top extreme bullying, i hope it turns more darker and violent as it progresses.

That was the most harrowing first episode of a series I've seen. I don't think it would be an exaggeration to describe Aya's life as a living hell. Continuous suffering from her classmates, teachers, and her family? How could someone not snap from that? I don't think this show is trying to offer a solution to bullying, but rather depict the twisted thoughts of individuals who were in that type of hell. Would it have been better to not express those thoughts? Maybe, but it's better to express it through anime rather than actual action (like the horrors from our own world's school shooters).

Now, excuse me while I go play Overwatch Competitive (ironically a shooter game) to calm myself down.

This episode was basically a bunch of torture porn. It was a bit uncomfortable to watch and the main character has really no personality yet.

A bit of a tangent, but I thought "what if Aya's magical girl ability had been the ability to share her pain (think Kiznaiver) or even worse, replicate and distribute her pain to others?". I imagine that her classmates, teachers, and family would be forced to develop some empathy. Disturbing idea but something to think about.

Recently watched the first episode.

Yea, so this was disgusting. I'm pretty sure that's what it's going for though. As in, i'm quite certain that it's trying to evoke disgust.

It took everything I had to sit through this. I'm not sure if II'll have the fortitude to continue with it, but I think I'll give it a shot. Normally I would avoid a work like this as if it had the plague, and I do indeed find it revolting. Even so, something compels me to try to watch it. Maybe it's like a personal challenge or something. Or just to see if I can.

Quite an odd experience.

Here we see some of the worst examples of human trash getting violently put out of their non-deserved existence. And nothing of value was lost.

Hot damn, this show is edgy cranked up to the max, but the MC (and that time-stopper) unleashing a much-justified retribution on those non-human filth felt so strangely right and satisfying.

I'll probably continue watching this despite the edge if it can continue being this rewarding and satisfying.

Let's just get this out there people, this is not supposed to be an enjoyable experience reading the manga or watching the anime. There are no happy moments in the manga, and there are not going to be any in the anime. It's supposed to be gritty and harsh to watch. Please tell your friends this so we don't have misunderstandings over the manga/anime's title.

Wasn't there another Magical girl show where some girl beat a few girls who were making fun of her nearly to death (in real life what she did to them would have killed them)
I think it was a Magical Girl Lyrical spin-off perhaps
seems the ultra edgy magical girl stuff has been done before.

You're thinking of ViVid Strike which is part of the Lyrical Nanoha franchise. I forget the girls name but she was the main character's rival, and this happened well before the point in her story, she was an orphan who had been adopted by a rich family and they sent her to a private school. She was bullied a lot but one day they went too far and she SNAPPED. Keep in mind the Nanoha franchise has more in common with shonen anime than magical girl series and is known for some brutal magi-combat beatdowns, but even by the standards of the White Devil herself this was brutal. At least with Nanoha her desire is to get her enemies to see sense, so even if she beats the shit out of them in the process it's not necessarily malicious. This girl, however, had murder on her mind - the only reason her tormentors even survived was because the story is set on a planet with advanced magitech medical technology and even then it left them scarred physically.

As for Magical Girl Site I think I'll pass. This sounds too dark and twisted for me to be able to stomach, and this is coming from someone who more or less enjoys dark magical girl shows like Madoka and Mahou Shojo Raising Project. At least there are instances in those shows that restore some semblance of wholesomeness in between the moments of darkness. This seems like it starts dark and gets darker. If I were a character from the Princess: The Hopeful book for World of Darkness I'd probably be rolling for Belief compromises just from watching this.
