Let's just get this out there people, this is not supposed to be an enjoyable experience reading the manga or watching the anime. There are no happy moments in the manga, and there are not going to be any in the anime. It's supposed to be gritty and harsh to watch. Please tell your friends this so we don't have misunderstandings over the manga/anime's title.

I can't wait!

*reads reactions to the show*

This is moving up my list of things to watch on Amazon, all the more so because I just finished Season 2 of Yuki Yuna Is A Hero there.

So we got some info dump for the second episode and also, that bully got her throat split after time came back to real life. Well deserved.

Another magical girl (pink hair) also showed up and honestly, I think this show's characters all have some sort of unstable personality except for Aya.

The second episode was supposed to be up by now on Amazon, and it is in the UK, but just like with Wotakoi, the episode is not up for some inexcusable reason. Something's definitely going on with the American branch of Amazon seeing that it's a problem that shouldn't be happening, especially now that Anime Strike is dead.

This episode was a lot less depressing than episode 1. It's a good thing Aya now has someone on her side.

The brother's face was the freakiest face I've seen all year so far.

Episode 2

Unlike the first episode with all the crazy shit that happened episode 2 is pretty calm. The first half was spent with Yatsumura telling Aya everything about the magical girl site and the rules that have to do with the sticks. Also that she wants to work with Aya to take down the magical hunter who killed a magical girl that was a info broker named Rina Shioi. However the next day the magical hunter shows up in front of Aya and Yatsumura tries to stop her but a stick she has prevents her from being frozen. Aya has no choice but to use her stick but refuses as she doesn't want anyone else from dying. Yatsumura reassures that it won't happened and surely enough it doesn't. Aya's stick teleports someone to any place she can think of. With the magical hunter captured Yatsumura questions her and reveals that she is in fact Rina Shioi. Rina tells them that there is countdown to the end of humanity which is why she is collecting sticks in order to survive.

Next week Nijimi will come into the picture and her stick is op as fuck. Its probably one of the strongest sticks in the series that i know of.

Damn girls getting revenge on their abusers. Getting some insight on some people's power and the magical girl site. How their powers work and stuff. Im sad that girl didnt die, she was the ring leader. But that site is super creepy with the dolls. The magical girl hunter looks bat shit crazy. The brother's expression is absolute god, like holding in a massive dump.Overall less depressing. Would recommend 10/10 hahaha

okay, episode 2 was a lot easier to watch and handle, than the first one.

first episode was definitely a psyop in a way, i think they tried to be as brutal and dark as possible to hook you up..

Yeesh that first episode was disturbing, and the second wasn't much better but Madoka set the bar pretty high for this subgenre so I guess you have to go that far to get noticed. Still...yeesh. Worst oniisan ever. Almost makes me look fondly on the brothers from siscons.

Another warning before the next episode airs in-case she appears, one of the characters harms herself, so for those who can't watch that stuff and get squeamish, be careful.

Well, episode 2 was thankfully a bit toned down from the previous one. That replayed scene near the start is still a little much for me though.

I kind of like Yatsumura, but given how this show has been so far, I don't know if I should or not. Some of the scenes with her "shifty eyes" are kind of... troubling. I just kept thinking "Please don't betray her, please don't betray her, please don't betray her...", just waiting for it. Thankfully, she didn't, but given this show's apparent penchant for hopelessness, I think some suspicion might be warranted.

Personally, I felt the scene with the pink haired antagonist fell kind of flat. I don't know if it's a relic of translating this from the source material, but it seemed odd to me how Asagiri and Yatsumura were conversing and strategizing while this girl was out to kill her... I get that they do that in plenty of other shows, but for some reason this scene felt especially egregious to me.

I think I'll try to continue this one, if I can. It really does make me wince, and some of the things they do for shock value kind of frustrate me, but parts of it are intriguing and I could see some interesting things coming out of it. If I can continue to stomach it, being the scaredy-cat that I am.
